Framing Lyme Regis. I took this picture from the end of the Cobb which is a defence wall around the harbour. A man made construction has served as a refuge here since at least 1313 and its now an iconic part of the Dorset coast. It is always windy walking on top of the Cobb, Meryl Streep managed to get to the end of the Cobb in the film The French Lieutenant’s Woman in bad weather, although rumour has it that it was a stunt man dressed in her cloak. Lyme Regis is probably my favourite town along the Jurassic Coast, it has a little bit of everything including a great town, great places to eat and a great beach. I’ve also lost many 2p’s in the arcade.
