Some of ya asked for more dance. So, here ya go!
A little story: I am not at my strongest, there are many flaws I see in this. But I am happy. To tell you the truth this was the first time I stepped back into a dance studio in OVER A YEAR! Why?... I lost my mojo, lost the spark, the drive and passion (for dance, art, acting and life). I was diagnosed with a rare genetic dysfunction that even perplexes doctors at times. I was constantly sick, depressed and feeling sorry for myself. But with some inner soul searching, finding peace with myself, having amazing family and friends, finding health and love, I can say I am finally feeling like myself, more so than ever. "Sometimes we must find the darkenss to see the light" - I forget tho said this.
We all have hard times, dark places and sadness. But what I have learned is we can't sit in it. Recogonize it, appreciate it and do whatever you can to free yourself from it. We must climb out of that pit, because there is so much more to life. You never know what can happen when you just look up. ✌🏼❤🦄 Song: Go Fuck Youself - by @twofeetmusic ...please don't sue me, I'm a broke and starving artist... and your music is sex to my ears, I needed to #dance.
You have people questioning Almighty God (who cannot lie) all day everyday, but state ones can't question an imperfect human with a propensity to lie because they make the claim of victimization? Let me get this straight. The Creator of ALL things can be questioned, but not that which is created? The way that ones have been treated, especially online, due to the fact that they don't believe any and everything? Should never happen to anyone. If you all are blindly backing those who claim being victimized, but need more evidence when they're shown to be lying? Why then go and bully someone else?
Non-linear storytelling isn’t easy but Joe Edgerton’s adaption of Garrard Conley’s 2016 memoir ‘Boy Erased’ makes it appear as though it is.
Lucas Hedges appears to be carving out a good niche for himself after ‘Manchester By The Sea’, Lady Bird’, ‘Three Billboards...’ and now ‘Boy Erased’. I’ll certainly be checking out Ben Is Back and Mid90s.
Garrard Conley’s story is a painful one, to have gone through what he did at a young age, but the film is very well crafted. I’m surprised it hasn’t been nominated for more awards. Danny Bensi’s and Saunder Jurriaans’ music are alone worth the experience.
This past week has been one for the books and I wanted to share a top line with you guys!
The biggest highlight by far was my promotion to Senior Designer @landorchi! This really meant a lot to me because it’s been a goal I’ve been pushing for and working towards for quite some time now. So excited for it to finally be a reality!
Other notables were – my first feature on @goodtype, being invited to do some lettering at a pretty cool event (stay tuned), and having an awesome Valentine’s day with my love. It seriously couldn’t have been a better week and I’m so grateful for all the blessings! ❤️
