Even though the title of this book sucks it was SO GOOD. This was the first Christina Lauren book I’ve read and the first book I gave 5 stars to in 2019. ✨
I’ve never really read adult romance before other than 50 Shades of Grey so this book was such a great intro into healthy adult romance. (Which may be my favorite genre now) It was a great book to read in the middle of a reading slump since I binge read it in a day.✨ This book was so steamy and cute and exciting all at the same time. I love Mia and Ansel and want 100 more books with them as the main characters. ✨
QOTP: What’s your favorite healthy romance? I need some more recommendations! ✨ •
I’ve been trying to read more EBooks lately in an attempt to save 💵. If a book is one I adore, I buy the physical copy. This isn’t an ad, but I use Scribd and I really love it. I just want to share this app with you because it’s so worth the small money subscription cost! Currently reading #nevernever by @colleenhoover and @tarrynfisher

I just finished the audio book of Listen to you heart by Kasie West. ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5

I’m loving #scribd it’s hard to read with college and over doing it with Netflix just doesn’t work for me. So I’m replacing Netflix with scribd. It has really increased my love for audiobooks they have millions of audiobooks and ebooks to choose from. I will still keep Hulu though. Happy end to a jam packed week. I’m going to have to makeup my workouts this weekend. Can anyone say #hotyoga

It’s up there with the likes of Rich Dad Poor Dad in terms of being one of the go-to books to improve your mindset on investing & discovering the power of assets which produce additional income 📚
I listened to the audiobook version of this title on the app called Scribd. It’s basically like Netflix but for books & audiobooks! It’s a subscription based model ($8.99 / month), but the first month is completely FREE! You can cancel at any time before the first month ends.

How are you guys doing with your March TBR?
I only read one book off my actual TBR, and two more books I just kinda picked up 😁
Also, guys - @scribd is amazing! It's the most TBR-destructing app in world. It's an audiobook service (they also have ebooks and magazine subscriptions) that allows you to consume an unlimited number of his your subscription. For someone like me it's perfect - I always have anxiety over getting to my book club books, and now I get them all on Scribd. I just finished my first book there - The Woman in Cabin 10. And I wanna talk about it 😁
Please join me for my “Journey to the Son” book signing, which will take place on Sunday, March 31, 2019, from 2-4 p.m. at @parkroadbooksclt located at 4139 Park Road in the Park Road Shopping Center in Charlotte, NC. #journeytotheson ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 star rating from #Amazon .
Recent review: Determination and heart
March 13, 2019
A mother's love and determination are not to be underestimated and Carla delivers a stunning example of that. Turning the pages became easier as the story was told and all along you can't help but wonder how much can one person take. At the end of the book, you are left with an overwhelming feeling to reach out and just give Carla a big hug. Be sure to follow Carla's social media as she is becoming an advocate around adoption and her future activities are as exciting as the book with the power to change even more lives. - RW
Your feedback on #journeytotheson (Paperback and eBook) on #Amazon has been thoughtful and valuable to @citeemouse and me. Every comment helps us hone our journey in a way that will be most impactful anf inspirational. #THANKYOU
2018 Reading Goals!📚
I’m one book away from reaching my goal for the year!✨I love setting reading goals and because in 2017 I had a great reading year, I decided that I could also try to read 80 books in 2018! This was a mistake that I will discuss in a later post but long story short since the start of graduate school I haven’t been able to read as much! All of my free time has been consumed by article readings!
However, a great solution that helped me achieve my goals is audiobooks!👌🏻Amsterdam is a relatively big city and my day consists of long commutes; therefore, audiobooks are perfect for keeping myself entertained while also getting some reading done! A massive shoutout goes to the app @scribd for helping me reach my reading goal! I’m currently working my way through the last book of the year, which is Walt Whitman’s poetry collection titled “Leaves of Grass”! Scribd is available for both iOS and Android that provides an access to a big library of audiobooks, e-books and magazines for a monthly fee.

You can try the app with a FREE 30 day trial and can cancel your subscription anytime! Use the codes linked in bio to download the app! I’m currently loving using it and am going to continue with the hopes of a strong reading start for 2019! Who’s with me?
Let me know in the comments if you also set yearly reading goals and what are your top 3 for next year? I will be sharing mine soon in another post because my friends asked me to start talking about books again! Let me know if this is something that you would also like to see from me in the future!💕

where are my audiobook listeners at? what do we feel about audiobooks? 🍁
i just signed up SCRIBD which is an audio and ebook website. it’s super cheap and you get unlimited access rather than tokens. there’s not a ton of books on there but still a great selection! HOWEVER, i still don’t know what i feel about audiobooks. i just don’t get as invested in the story from this format. it’s so good cos it’s convenient and i ‘read’ much faster this way but... i don’t get as invested. for example, i’m listening to the hunger games right now (one of my all time faves) and i’m not freaking out as much as i used to! i am stilll loving it though but i think i’ll use audiobooks for rereads or easy reads 😊

Starting November off with this NY 👬 love story as a palate cleanser following my thrills & chills of October! 📦 •
I highly recommend listening to the audio narration as it’s told through first person POV of both characters Arthur & Ben, alternating their voices with each chapter. It’s REALLY entertaining! 📦
The writing collaboration among both authors is fun, cute & light-hearted...plus the audio narrators really bring the characters’ personalities to life. I’m alternating between the book at home and the audio during my work commutes. 📦
I’m glad @scaredsuspensebookclub with hosts @scaredstraightreads & @suspensethrill choose this YA novel as their November selection! Just what I needed at the right time. 📦
Are you reading along with What If It’s Us this month? I’m really enjoying Part I so far! If not, what is your first read of November? 📦
A while ago I confessed in my stories that I've never read an audiobook in my life. I see them all the time around bookstagram and it made me wonder if I should try this format.
I learnt by listening to podcasts that it is extremely hard for me to concentrate on spoken word and even the smallest distraction makes my attention wander, so I have to go back 30 seconds and listen again. When I'm calm enough to focus for a longer period of time, I usually fall asleep in a few minutes because I'm always sleep deprived. So I wasn't sure if audiobooks are for me at all.
What made me want to try nonetheless is the fact that I spend more than 2 hours commuting every day and there are certain situations where you just can't whip out a book and start reading but it's okay to listen to something.
I want to thank everyone again who sent me encouraging messages when I talked about this in my stories! Many of you told me that you were the same, but gradually learnt to enjoy audiobooks and that having a better focus when listening is a skill that can be developed. So I went ahead and signed up for a 30 day Scribd trial and started listening to Becoming by Michelle Obama.
I know, it's probably the most often posted book on bookstagram so far in 2019, but in this case I'm okay with jumping on the bandwagon! She's a fascinating person and I'm really enjoying this journey with her and learning more about her life and background. I'm only about 20% in so I'll post more about the book itself later.
Have you read Becoming? What did you like about it the most?
I'd also love to hear audiobook experiences and recommendations!
This weekend was filled with baby showers, engagements, and weddings. Lots of love floating around 💕 •
I finished this book on my way to St. Louis because I really want to watch the movie but my rule still stands (no movie before reading the book!!) •
It seems like everyone LOVED this book. I’m actually quite disappointed by it.... I explained all in a blog post. What do you think?
