Science fair is almost here! Our seventh grade scientists have been working so incredibly hard for the past two months. And let me tell you, these projects are awesome! One student studied how the color of a drink impacts the sensation of taste. She changed the color of grape flavored water to blue, red, and green. Then, the test subjects drank the water and attempted to guess the flavor. They guessed that the flavor was cotton candy, blue raspberry, cherry, watermelon, and green apple. Only one person guessed the correct flavor - grape! Come to the science fair during school hours on Thursday and Friday of this week to see this project and many more exciting experiments!•

While everyone is posting fashionable pictures of themselves on nights out, I’m just here studying sediments in Geoarchaeology. I might not be dolled up and cute but hopefully by now we have all learned that life is so much more than just Instagram likes and we need to get out and live! Strive to be in the moment and do more, something that gives your soul validation. Currently, my research is my soul. My focus is climate change in the archaeological record and the impacts on marine subsistence ~10-13 kya on the San Diego coast. Not only am I lucky enough to be in a classroom of amazing grad students, but I have the absolute best professor and advisor (probably in the world) to guide me in my senior honors thesis, Dr. Isabel Rivera-Collazo. Human adaptation to climate change in archaeology is crucial in understanding the impacts that current climate change has and will have on peoples today. My goal is to educate myself so I can help educate others on this issue. Absolutely stoked to be looking at sediments in the lab and working with top environmental researchers at Scripps Institute of Oceanography this quarter. Now time to bust my butt taking down these 18 units 😅 #research#UCSD#sio#scrippsinstitutionofoceanography#climatechange#archaeology#environmentalscience#environment#lajolla#scientists#ucsdhonors#marinearchaeology#girlswhostudy#study#read#educate
Going to miss my @lensresearchlab mates @impermanant_surrounds and @mylifeinthelab 👩🔬👨🔬 It’s been such a blast hanging out in the lab 🧪🧫🔬 I’m going to miss you so much! You two are really amazing, passionate scientists and I wish you every success in your careers! Keep in touch wherever we end up in the world 😊✈️🌏 #farewell

The semester is almost beginning and have you thought about initiate on undergraduate research? You can have the opportunity to acquire research experience, meet new people, and get into this challenging world. There are so many challenges and it isn't easy, but choose the right way can help you a lot. So come on, enjoy the journey and most importantly: HAVE FUN. Ah ... All the images are illustrative only 😂
#Climatenews: Upper-ocean warming is changing the global wave climate, making waves much stronger. Increasing wave energy means more challenges for coastal risk and adaptation. From #ScienceDaily: #Sealevel rise puts coastal areas at the forefront of the impacts of #climatechange, but new research shows they face other climate-related threats as well. #Scientists found that the energy of #ocean waves has been growing globally, and they found a direct association between ocean warming and the increase in wave energy. #RestoreTheIce#STEM
We all have learned about endothermic and exothermic reactions in our science classes in our school time.
You know that there are also some also Endo-Exo Qualities.
You know about them?
No worries, I am here.
So, sometimes in our life we come to a situation when we have to do some non moral things and sometimes there is no other option except to do them, at that time always use Endo-Exo Qualities what is accept that non moral qualities like telling lie or something in your life which is Endo but after some time release that non moral quality you acquired from your life which is Exo. But always remember one thing always use them when you have really no other option because there is no explanation of bad qualities.
Rolling shutter is a method of image capture in which a still picture (in a still camera) or each frame of a video (in a video camera) is captured not by taking a snapshot of the entire scene at a single instant in time but rather by scanning across the scene rapidly, either vertically or horizontally.
In other words, not all parts of the image of the scene are recorded at exactly the same instant. (Though, during playback, the entire image of the scene is displayed at once, as if it represents a single instant in time.) This produces predictable distortions of fast-moving objects or rapid flashes of light. This is in contrast with "global shutter" in which the entire frame is captured at the same instant.
