From 30+ words down to 7. Crafting this phrase took a while.
I recently completed an 8 week course on mindset training called @competetocreate . One of our requirements in the beginning was to sit down and write out our personal philosophy.
This wasn’t as easy as I had thought it’d be.
To get started, we were tasked with listing the four people that we admire most (tagged below). Then we listed the traits that we admired most about each person.
From there, we wrote out 3-5 of the quotes or phrases that resonated with us the most.
Taking all of the traits from the people above and the words from the quotes we valued, we next created a list of 25-30 words that we felt best identified us.
Lastly, we were told to eliminate any word on the list that didn’t TRULY align with our character and mission. This was by far the toughest part. It’s one thing to write out ALL of the nouns and adjectives that you associate yourself with. It’s a completely different thing to condense all of that into just one sentence or phrase.
After several hours and several iterations, I was left with a philosophy that felt real to my core: Believe in and strive for greater things.
If you don’t have a personal philosophy yet, I’d strongly recommend walking through the process above! It’ll bring clarity to your mission and will serve as a daily reminder to keep on keeping on.
If you do have a personal philosophy, I’d love for you to share it below 👇

Thank you @michaelgervais and @petecarroll for building such an awesome program!

This interior joy is also a mindset necessary for perfectly aligning with our obligations. The greater our responsibility the greater also our obligation to have this peace and joy to give to others and the greater the urgency of recovering the joy when it’s habitual possession has been interrupted or disturbed. How do you give joy?

Sales manager: “Did you stalk them on LinkedIn so you could learn a bit more about them?”
Me: “like what? That they graduate in 1979? What do I do with that?!”
USE YOUR FACE👱♂️👩🦳 #Keepselling
Guys, there’s a reason why everyone speaks about FACE VALUE.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Consultant, Salesman, Freelancer or a Content Writer this rule still applies.
Putting a face to your brand adds a lot of credibility, as your customers will judge you or your business based on that face.
There’s always a face behind the brand. For Example: You know what I LOOK like, you know how my MOM looks like, you know how my BIKE and CAR looks like, and you know what I stand for or what I’m against.
You will know a lot of things about me if you follow my work. You see, if customers know you well it creates a lot of TRUST and TRANSPARENCY
If you are trying to sell something and if they ask you who’s behind the product? If you say, I DON'T KNOW🤔then it becomes very difficult for you to sell and market .
So please be TRANSPARENT, BLUNT, NEVER BEAT AROUND THE BUSH and SMILE😀. It increases your Personal FACE VALUE.
I don’t know about you but I really get to learn some great things this weekend...
I got some time to watch the @brenebrown "The Call to Courage" on #netflix and it was amazing👏🏼👏🏼💫 Watch it whenever you can; it will change your life!💯
And because of that I can’t stop reading and internalizing this message as she quoted Roosevelt's "The Man in the Arena"...
And I do ask... Are you the one at the Arena?
And If you are, I just want you to know that you are strong, you are brave, you choose the long and a very difficult path, but you are definitely capable of what you are going to accomplish. Do not hesitate, do not doubt of the work you are doing; or the goal you are trying to reach, give it the best that you have and you’ll learn what you need; and or you’ll win, and winning is not the same for everyone.
This words are for you and for me, because we are at the Arena and we are not giving up!
