The head for my project is a relatively stock 1JZ-GTE head. It has some slight porting and polishing cut valve guides and some fancy chamber work but nothing too extreme, I didn’t want to drop the compression too much by going overboard with the chambers and I just wanted to make the intake and exhaust ports flow as smoothly as possible and ended up with about 14% better flow over stock. No new rnd or amazing revolutionary changes but effective non the less. The idea was a well flowing head with titanium valves, springs and retainers plus a set of kelford 229-G cams would make a super fun high revving street car, still my plans but might have to go from 10,000rpm down to 8,500rpm for the time being.

This says it all. My 1990 240sx is currently runs and drives but need a lot of love. All the belts and fluids need to be changed and replaced. The 5 speed manual transmission needs a rebuild because it pops out of 1st, 3rd, and 5th. I would like to get all that done by March or April so that I can drive the car. If I achieve that simple but hard goal then I want to move to getting new wheels, brakes, tires, coil overs. At the same time I want to be fixing up the interior because either half of it is missing or it is broken lol. I would like to get a nice radio, replace the cracked dash, and maybe new seats and a wheel. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or advice I would love to hear it!

After I started actually getting the hang of drifting the new setup at Hangover Fest, the engine started cutting out a bit in high rpm range. Took out one side of injectors and cleaned them the best I could at the track and that helped for one lap, which was probably my best lap all day. But it wasnt a good enough job for the rest of the day. Tonight I inspected and cleaned out my FPR, added a second filter right before the fuel rails, and took out all the injectors to clean them out and inspect them. Put it all back together and it seems to be idling and running much better 😉
