6 EZ breezy (aka WINDY AF) miles in 24 degrees. #ClooneytheCattleDog was thrilled to get out for an hour without precipitation (he’s not a fan of the rain). I have a 14 miler on deck for Sunday... it’ll be the longest run I’ve done in 6 months and I’m trying not to be anxious about it... so excuse me while I make myself feel prepared by eating #allthecarbs.
Today's short flat run turned into a full on hill day 😁 Can't believe it's February! Running along chesil beach, shorts, sunglasses and t shirt 😄 Even passed a guy working on his vw camper playing reggae music 😂 What happened to winter?? 13.5km, 300m ascent 1.5hrs #spring#hot#trail running views
For all the “non runners” out there... You can be a runner if you want to be. All you have to do is...
30 seconds. 2 minutes. 1/10th of a mile. A quarter of a mile. Whatever you can do, start there. And commit. Do your best (+ a tiny bit more) every time your feet hit the pavement.
Not every run will be amazing. Your pace might be slow, you might do more walking than running. Keep going. You might have a bad run, or 2 or 4 bad runs. Keep going. Keep going because what lies ahead is ✨CONFIDENCE ✨PROGRESS ✨A CONNECTION WITH NATURE ✨GREATER MENTAL STRENGTH ...And so, SO much more. Go out. Run. Because that’s all it takes to be a runner!🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
Taking advantage of these perfect 50 degree days in the middle of February before the temps #andourattitudes take a nose dive into cooler digits. Feel like my body is regaining its rhythm with running again after being consistent this week and running varied distances. I’ve been adding in some intervals for a few miles, so it was nice to just run at an easy and consistent pace today and give my legs a good shake out. Followed my run with a Low Impact Ride with @mattwilpers and love that this class really focused on technique and recovery, which my body needed. Chocolates speak to the boy’s belly but golf speaks to their heart, so this is how we celebrate Valentine’s Day. I’m not a chocolate lover *gasp* but I’ll never turn down a Reese’s Pieces Buttercup. They’re like legal crack. What’s your favorite chocolate or candy?? Happy FriYay Friends!!
Woke up in wine country for my 36th birthday to a french toast breakfast surrounded by my best friends. Had great company on a 16 mile gorgeous (and hilly!) run through the vineyards. It’s only noon and it’s been a pretty awesome day. #birthday#thisis36

Fulda Marathon 2006 - After the summer holidays in 2006, I took up my first full position as a teacher - a sensible preparation for the Frankfurt Marathon in late October would have been difficult. Therefore, I decided again to run directly after the summer holidays in Fulda (on September 3rd), but this time with proper training. On race day the weather conditions were right and the number of participants was with only 83 starters low even for a small marathon like Fulda. As a result, I reached the third place in the overall standings with the surprisingly good time of 3:00:30 hours and for the first time in my running career I stood on the podium. I was not bothered by the fact that I had just failed at the 3 hour mark, after all I had improved by 13 minutes compared to last year, although I had to run the last of the two 21 kilometer laps all by myself.
Look! ...Spring is coming guys!! You can´t imagine how much joy I felt in being outside and running through the fields. I decided to go for 15km (only) because of a previous 4-day regeneration break. I really needed that break even if I didn´t want it AT ALL! But I felt pretty much like I´m getting sick. Thank God I got away with shifting a gear back. Now it seems that I´m totally fine again. Dear runners out there,... never put your body under too big pressure if it needs regeneration!!! Take your Time, but stay always stay focused and use as much positive energy as you can somehow get out of your mind. But enough idle talk... What did you fill this beautiful days time with?
