Didn’t hit the total mileage I had planned as I pulled my calve. Still had to summit Pisgah so hiked to the top. Got just over 6 miles in.

Fact: If you want to get to the top of the mountain, the best way is to go through the forest 🧭🌲🏔

15 miler ✅ constant thundering of avalanches intermixed with a deafening stillness. . . beautiful up in the canyon now if you’re looking for a moment of meditation. . . I was alone for the run today. . . I love living in the wasatch. . . #americanforkcanyon#trailrunning#utahisrad#runsteepgethigh
One of those runs where you say “wow, I really need get out here more often”. It’s just the most INCREDIBLE landscape. Loved every second - even the bit with the snake pit 😳 ////Thanks for the morning madness @ezza_roo@lucy_travels@tommy_outdoor & Sacrificial Sally #lovewhereyoulive
It feels really good to run healthy this month. Today we did yoga, a bootcamp type class and a 10 mile run. The cross training has really been helping my little knees. Barre has also been helping a lot too!
I’m all about making this training season a healthy one! So far so good! Everyone have a great rest of your weekend!
All good things must come to an end. After a nice little road trip around New Zealand taking in plenty of mountains and sweet views, the time has come to get a job (sadly). Just a few of the highlights feature above. Looking forward to some solid training in preparation for @shotovermoonlight marathon. If anyone knows of any runner friendly employment opportunities in the Lakes area drop me a message! .
I’d like to say that the run was gorgeous, and easy, and amazing, but nope. I haven’t been on the PCT since before my race/injury and I forgot how much impact the altitude always has on me (yes, thank you Coloradans, I know you have it higher). Pair that with lead legs and HIGH winds and your girl was on a 24 mile ride on the struggle bus. But, it would’ve been immensely worse without company. So, thanks for distracting me, guys. ✌🏽 (24.1/12:00/3731’)
You're afraid of imagination and even more afraid of dreams. Afraid of the responsibility that begins in dreams. But you have to sleep and dreams are a part of sleep. When you're awake you can suppress imagination, but you can't suppress dreams.

tags of both sobo and bear peaks this morning on a lap that including slush up shadow, postholing on sobo, a fern snow luge descent, some sheets of ice, and of course a bunch of mud down low on the mesa. ill take it all, i aint skeerd, and neither are my @lasportivagram mutants. Not an ad, not sponsored, just love these damn shoes(🐻 #5)(🌋 #1) #ripsaturday#bearpeak#mudding
Started the early morning on the Big Laguna Trail right where the mile 48 Aid Station will be for the San Diego 100. Made my way through the trails to Red Tail Roost then onto the Southbound portion of the PCT for about 4 miles before heading back up for my out and back run. Found @runnerlex and @jeromedonk out on the PCT and they were gracious enough to tow me back up to the top before heading back down. Thanks for sharing some miles with me! Out on the Lakeland route with Vicky for a night time navigation recce. This was the only photo I got about 20 minutes before it got dark. Snowy slippy 15 miles 🤪🤪🤪
Sometimes running is really hard. My watch read 15.80 and I was climbing up the last hill. Those .20 miles looked so far away. I was muttering "c'mon"" to myself as I was just trying to push my legs just a little faster so I could be done. When I finally hit stop, I resisted the urge to collapse into a heap on the muddy ground. For the last 8 miles, I was shuffling because my hips had tightened and turned into two useless hunks of chunk on my body. It's not the days where I feel fantastic that turn me into a good runner, it's days like this one where I want to stop and crawl and instead I just keep moving with a smile on my face and a curse under my breath. 📷: @trail_kat@salomonrunning#WinterWasteland#SalomonSquad#TimeToPlay
🔶"I #choosemountains, because the mountains chose me before I was born. My twin sister and I grew up in a log cabin in the woods, playing outside in dresses and bare feet. Now, I go into the mountains and wilderness to feel more alive, to sweat, to find out what I’m made of. The mountains will always be there to give me the answers.

When you’re lost in those woods, it sometimes takes you a while to realize that you are lost. For the longest time, you can convince yourself that you’ve just wandered off the path, that you’ll find your way back to the trailhead any moment now. Then night falls again and again, and you still have no idea where you are, and it’s time to admit that you have bewildered yourself so far off the path that you don’t even know from which direction the sun rises anymore. - Elizabeth Gilbert
🔶 “If I had to ever say there was a higher power, it would definitely be the mountains. They’ve given me sobriety, confidence, structure (goals pertaining to the mountains and life in general) and a sense of purpose. That’s why I choose mountains.”

🔸“Having a child, wouldn’t mean my mountain adventures would have stop, I knew that, I grew up going to the mountains. But it would mean things might have to change a little. My focus has shifted, my perspective is different, but when you see that face, the joy in that smile, how can you say it’s too hard, or not worth it. When we’re in the mountains, my little guy gets to see the best version of his momma. My strength, my confidence, and my determination. Sharing a part of my life with him, that brings me such happiness. I cherish these moments, making mountain memories that will last a lifetime.”
