A few months ago I realized that my body was definitely not ok about what I was eating. Being honest, I was like a junkie with food. Even though I was eating very healthy and a lot, I was hungry all the time. I started following an Nutrition Expert and I found the low carb, high fat diet approach. I started making some changes like having a breakfast with just protein and fat (2 Eggs+Bacon+1/2 Avocado). The result?? I was satisfied during the morning!! Then at lunch, the same! I removed the starch and added half avocado. Not hungry anymore. This changed everything!
The big question came when I started training for the NYC Marathon. If I am reducing the carbs intake, how am I going to train for a marathon without carbs?? I was used to carb loading the day before and gels during the race.
I knew I needed help and I decided to hire the best in this nutritional approach @nutrillermo & @drpedritot The best decision ever!! I took the risk and trust them my Nutrition during my training for the training and the marathon itself.
The result was not just a 25 minutes faster marathon. I used to “suffer of migraines”, I used to have digestive issues like constipation and bloating. My energy levels improved and my life changed.
Today I started a Nutrition Bootcamp to learn as much as I can in order to spread the word and help as many people as possible. It is possible to run without a diet high in carbs and I am a proof of it. The next days in my next posts I will be sharing how I was able to combine Running with this Nutritional approach.

I don't why but the day after a massage session always feel like the life force has been sucked out of my being. I slept like a log and even nodded away in the train commute to work. Maybe it's an ageing thing. Maybe this job has been eating too much into me and the mind needs a break (I'm hoping it's a complete break). Needless to say I skipped my easy session this morning. The tightness in the legs, however, is gone. The lower leg muscles are completely loosened and I can't wait to get that zing back to the legs again. Oh yes, I'm so ready for this weekend.

Seeing a monster hail storm the other day reminded me of the Aztec West 5k race last year. We started in glorious sunshine and a PB was on the cards. After hitting the 2K mark all hell broke loose.
🌨 Hail like I’ve never seen before came crashing down as I tried to keep myself at 4:40 - 4:45 pace. I was on my own at the front and it was the biggest test of mental strength I’ve ever had. But I survived. I didn’t get the PB but I kept going and lived to tell the tale. 💪🏻

Jetzt gehts wieder los. Morgens duster, abends dunkel. Hmpf. Nicht sehr Instagram-fotofreundlich, diese dunkle Jahreszeit. 🙈🤓
Aber zum Glück gibt es ja mittlerweile sehr schöne Laufbekleidung, die man gnadenlos auch mal im Alltag tragen und fotografieren kann. ☝🏻🙌🏻✌🏻
Kann sich noch jemand an die Zeiten erinnern, als jegliche Laufklamotten - egal welcher Hersteller- einfach "nur" funktional waren und meist grottig aussahen? Da war ich immer ganz froh, wenn es dunkel war beim Laufen. 😂
Aber Spaß gemacht hat es trotzdem schon, dieses Rumgerenne. Damals, als ich noch jung (und schnell😬🙄?!) war!
