One step at a time....... Thought about my first Easter egg hunt as a little girl at the YMCA in our town. I tried so hard to find an egg but at three years old the older kids were too fast with more developed hunting skills. I finally got to one egg and when I was about to pick it up this boy ran into me, laid me out, picked it up and took off. Of course I cried. My dad picked me up and took me home and said to wait in the kitchen because he thought the Easter bunny left eggs at our house. My dad hid eggs in the backyard just for me to find. Of course when I got older I realized he was the best Easter bunny ever. Wishing everyone a Happy Easter! #daddysgirl#nikerunclub#memories#firsteasterwithoutmydad#helovedeaster#6miles#runpdx#waterfront#nonopneumonia#reflection#katona#soldier#hungariangypsy#new

A passion of mine, running, staying fit! Not only for me BUT to keep up with my little humans. They’ll pick up speed as they grow, so I gotta stay active as much as I can.

@foottrafficpnw Feeling Bold, might dress up as a pink bunny and run a 10k later, IDK? lol Thanks @foottrafficpnw for putting on a great run. After not running for like a year, I thought I might be hard for me considering I signed up the day before, but since Ive been working so hard moving for my clients it was really easy and I sprinted the last mile;) I loved running down by the river, it makes the air just seem that much more fresh:) @columbia1938 Thanks for making some amazing trail running shoes. I like to use them for the pavement as well, because they have that extra cushion I love. Also, I have a bit wider of a foot and have injured it a few times throughout the years so they are perfect. Not to mention I use them on the moving jobs. Great traction and agility for me to keep the job running smoothly. Loved that I got a pic of my Columbia’s on the Columbia. Thanks @heidisellshomes for sharing your employee store pass with me. Going to run the Run Mama Run PDX put on by @maurakelly25 president of @hollywoodboosterspdx to support @momchildpdx a non-profit that helps mothers and children in the early years. 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♀️🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰 Oh and I saw these awesome signs in a bathroom while we were checking out open houses after the race! BE KIND, BE BOLD, BE BRAVE
“Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.” ~Steve Jobs 2005
Don’t I have the cutest running partner ever?! 💕🐶🐾 @axe_is_rctid did so good today! He’s really getting the hang of voice commands to turn certain directions or cross the street. 😁🙌🏻
Now if I could just get him to realize that not every run needs to be a sprint.... or maybe I just need to get faster??? 🤷🏼♀️ LOL

RACE #5 of 26
Shamrock PDX 8k 3/17
1:14:38 Average pace 14:45
I was freaking HURTING at this race. I had the Run to Get Lucky 5k the day before, I was hung over, I’d been sick, I had walked just under 2 miles to the course start and I was hung over. THIS IS MY FAVORITE RACE, and I’ve run it 3 times now, the 8k twice and the 15k once. It was a new course this year though and it didn’t actually go through Portland which bummed me out. It was also warm and VERY bright and sunny (unlike other years where I pulled thrown away jackets or trash bags out of the gutter to run in while it poured). I wasn’t used to either of those points and I was just overall tired. I did a lot of walking and wishing it would go faster. Then it was all over and I got yogi to the race party! They have such a great one, and I really love it. Always a free beer, free food and a great band and dancing. Definitely my favorite after party. I love this race! And the medal is a bottle opener! Love you PDX! #keepportlandweird#runpdx#runoregon#shamrockrunpdx#halfmarsthontraining#slowrunners#weightloss#runningtraining

I bumped up to 800's on the track today. The cool thing about being so out of shape is that you can almost see daily gains. I am so happy to be doing track workouts again. I am not running them fast, around 85% of max, maybe less? I am going by feel since my max is changing weekly as I get stronger and lighter. My goal pace today was 3:20 per 800.
14 min warm-up, 5 x 800 w/ 200 jog rest. Splits: 3:25, 3:17, 3:15, 3:10, 3:06. 14 min cool down. Weights at the gym after.
Not bad considering I am getting over a cold and starting to deal with the beginning of my yearly sinus infection. Hopefully I will dodge it this year. #portlandrunning #runportland #runpdx #runoregon #pdxrunner #pdxrunning
Medal Monday. 🦄
My bib was 12462; I finished 5627. 😱🤩😍😭
It’s been an emotional week. I’m still exhausted. I’ve ran a total of 1.25 painful miles. This is the longest I’ve taken off after a marathon. Ever.
I’m giving my body the grace it deserves, but I cannot WAIT to run to work tomorrow.
All the miles. Zero 🦊 about pace. #bostonstrong #medalmonday
