BCN Marathon Training - Week 8
Day 54: 6 miler “Short” Long Run ✅
KEEPING UP WITH MY TRAINING ON A 4 DAYS CONFERENCE🤔
I am on West Palm Beach since last Thursday for the Low Carb USA Conference, and one of the biggest challenges is keeping up with my marathon training while I am busy most the time.🤦🏻♀️
Because I knew I was attending to this event, I structured my training so my recovery week (shorter Long Run) was during my trip. Smart choice!! 🙌🏻 I was supposed to run this weekend 10 miles but I was able to squeeze only 6 miles in between talks. At least I was able to run a few miles and I am happy with that.🏃🏻♀️
Now, it is time to keep absorbing as much knowledge as I can from these masterminds.

I can’t believe I am going on a little vacation tomorrow!
Still not entirely sure about our route but we will visit Northern Italy and Switzerland for sure! Cheers for random trips and beautiful nature 🏔☀️🌍

Tudo indicava um treino perfeito; clima mais "ameno" , suporte do meu esposo e a possibilidade de correr em estrada rural sugeriam que, embora pesado, o treino de 14 km de subidas ia passar voando. 🤗
Mas o corpo reclamou desde o primeiro km...como já aconteceu isso e consegui controlar..fui seguindo. Eu ODEIO parar treino! 🙈😭😟 Faço o possível para concluir.
Porém, do que adiantava treinar se estava judiando do meu corpo. A ânsia chegou a ponto de me dar calafrios. Meu " coração " sofreu mais por abandonar o treino....no entanto, meu corpo agradeceu. 🙏
Agora é descansar que logo inicia mais uma semana de treinos e cada vez fica mais puxado 😀

🏃♀️My girlfriends and I signed up for a marathon relay in our hometown two years in a row.⠀
🗓 To prepare for the relay the first time, I would workout super hard a couple times a week and went on a total of 3 runs. I marked the date of the relay on the calendar and began the count down to the day I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore. ⠀
🚶♀️The day of the race came, I was disappointed that the baby weight hadn’t fallen off, that I hadn’t ran enough in order to properly prepare and I wasn’t in the shape I had hoped I would be. ⠀
🍹 After nearly passing out from the run, I treated myself to a large margarita and a nap; thankful I didn’t have to worry about getting in shape until next year’s race.⠀
👟 The second year, I was in better shape, but I pushed off running until the last minute and ran a few miles every day for the last two weeks before the race. The race went better, but again I thought “I’m so glad I don’t have to do that anymore.”⠀
Man, have things changed.⠀
🌟 We no longer sign up for the relay, but not because we’ve given up. In fact, we all are committed to our fitness throughout the ENTIRE year, not just a few weeks.⠀
👯♀️We still LOVE to get together and even workout together whenever we can. @gwenheiman ⠀
💕We’ve joined an online community with other women who are committed to their health, just like us! @leahjanicki7 ⠀
