Entraînement en sentier sous la pluie et à la noirceur dans un des sentiers les plus technique! Je n'aurais pas pu demander mieux pour que les gens puissent prendre de l'expérience dans ce genre de conditions.
Trail running training with rain and darkness on one of the most technical trail! I could not have asked for a better setting for the participants to gain experience in such conditions.
Being there with your mind. Is that what you wish when you are running?
Or it’s better to distract, trying to look away? As matter of fact from 5K run onwards, your mind has lots of chance to “travel”. When distance increases and the digits of the kms on your GPS become 2, or even 3, time to wander is more plentiful. [...] As I practiced for long time fight sports (kickboxing) and martial arts (muay thai), running has always been part of my trainings. But, since I started traveling a lot for work (the first time in Dubai was in 2004), I couldn’t follow the trainings with the right perseverance, so, I found in the run a way to manage my fitness without bonds of time, equipment, companions. But after a while, running just for running was not enough. And my mind focused on a new goal: running a marathon. A fantastic finish that only a few can pursue. This was my idea of marathon at that time. First attempt in Milan in 2011, but I had to give up because of a heavy flue. So, the first 42.195 metres distance was covered the following year, always in Milan [...] In the following months I committed myself to consolidate my training as marathon runner: training programs, seeking the most suitable shoe, medals, the best time, trying not to exceed (no more than a marathon every 6 months…). But this approach was not for me, either. So, I started adding bike and water trainings, but keeping a dream in the drawer: running a marathon in the desert. Since that time I go on challenging myself, by running in extreme conditions and sometime hostile environment. Defying my limits run after run. In 10 days I will run the #BergamoTrail in Italy, then.... stay tuned for a new amazing challenge! #NeverStopRunning From the article written by Andrea Colombo & Nico de Corato for #OutdoorUAE and published on May 2017
