Life, if nothing else, is a long, rolling road of adventures. Some are good, some are not, but all teach a lesson. Some things that you think are dealt with, over and done can rear their ugly little heads when you least expect it. That’s happening to me right now. A ghost from my past is trying its best to intimidate me. To terrify me. To control me and cause me worry and bitterness. But you know what? I won’t let it! I won’t relive the past. I’m not that person I was 10 or so years ago. Afraid to stand up for myself. Afraid to speak out. Always worrying, always scared, always feeling not good enough. I could easily let my current situation lead me back down roads I’ve journeyed before, but instead I’m taking the wheel and taking a different road. I will come out if this even stronger, wiser, and better than before. I realize now more than ever that I have a choice in my own feelings, actions and future. To all of you traveling a bumpy stretch of life’s highway. Stay strong and know you are not alone. We’ll get through our trials and troubles just like we do our runs. One step at a time. Wasn't a trail run today. More like plodding through suburbia with a forest swing by to take in the sweet rhythm of some wending trail-lined creek tunes. Man, when the beat of that flowing water drops....🎶
You all know I'm very transparent with you and I have to say this week has been TOUGH to say the least. I would be lying if I said quitting hasn't went through my mind multiple times this week. This program is no freaking joke but when I feel like I can't, I think about the end goal in mind and how AMAZING it will feel once I can say I finished!
And honestly, upport group that I am in has been nothing short of amazing. Every person in that group is at a different part of their journey but not one person is unsupportive. It's such a positive uplifting group of motivated women that I am so blessed to have in my life. I would love to have you there too! What do ya think? 😊

I have been hesitant to share my times lately because I got a NASTY message about how I need to stop 🛑 putting my times and knocking others down with my speed.... But let’s just take a timeout here.... 1. I do this because I love it. And I share my journey to motivate, inspire, and help you see you can do anything you set your mind to. Not to brag or knock anyone down
2. Let me stress if you run you’re a runner. I don’t care if you run 1 or 26.2 miles. And I don’t care if you run a 6 min. Mile or 12 min mile. You’re a runner.
3. I only compete against myself. Unless we are at a race then yes I’ll compete against you but when you beat me I won’t be mad, I’ll be cheering you on because I know you’ve worked hard to succeed and that brings me joy, to see others succeed.
4. I have trained for this. And I have trained hard. I’ve put the work in, the miles in, the time in. I’ve ran through rain, literally snow storms, and freezing weather. I’ve ran through pain and exhaustion. I’ve ran when I was busy even if it meant 4am or 9pm runs. I’ve reached out to better runners, more seasoned runners, faster runners, men and women I aspire to be like and asked for advice. I’ve trained with women that are better than me but strive to motivate me. I’ve read books. My diet down to not just what I eat but when I eat is molded around my runs. I want this... I work for this... I deserve to be able to see the gains of that work and share them because I want this for you too 😘

Моя почти утренняя длинная пробежка в медленном темпе на низких пульсах, 14,5 км ,средний пульс 128.,время 1:49.Многие недооценивают медленный бег, изнуряют себя,слишком часто бегая быстро . Я тоже так бегала до прошлой весны ,каждую тренировку старалась пробежать быстрее чем предыдущую ; пока не получила в руки книгу Мэтта Фицджеральда :Бег по правилу 80/20 . Суть книги состоит что тренироваться надо медленно ,чтобы соревноваться быстрее . Этот подход используют многие профессиональные бегуны и спортсмены .Так же тренировки по принципу 80/20 помогают избежать травм,выгорания и лучше восстанавливаться между тренировками и улучшать свои результаты . Я по себе вижу результаты, теперь я могу бегать почти каждый день и не чувствовать себя изнурённой . У меня выросла выносливость, увеличилась скорость, пульс упал с 189 до 169 при практически одинаковой скорости на забеге . Конечно все эти изменения не так быстры ,как хотелось бы ,но они есть и радуют меня .
