Der 1. Lauf seit 2 Wochen war hart, schrecklich langsam und alles tat weh. Und trotzdem Puls über 190. Der 1. Lauf seit 2 Wochen mit fetter Erkältung und in denen ich meine Ma intensiv beim Sterben begleitet habe. Vielleicht ist Laufen eben wie Leben. Und das Leben fühlt sich gerade hart, langsam und sehr schmerzhaft an. Ich fühle mich, als hätte man mir die Wurzeln gekappt. Vielleicht muss ich mich ins Laufen wie ins Leben zurückkämpfen. Schritt für Schritt. Nie fiel es mir schwerer als heute meine Laufschuhe anzuziehen. Aber es gibt ja die @insta.laufgang und ich wusste, ich muss. Oh my gosh, I was HUNGRY after that run! I could hardly wait to get home and stuff my face... but supper doesn’t make itself, so I slammed a quick meal together of #parmesancrustedchicken and steamed veggies and thoroughly enjoyed devouring my dinner! Of course with dainty little bites, like a LADY! 😊
It had been a while since my bestie and I have had a run together, what with the weather, and scheduling conflicts, and it was really nice to get out there together. We kept up a respectable pace on the trails- the first 5 minutes was walking, so our running pace was much quicker than our time would indicate.
It was great to get out and enjoy the fresh air!
so glad to get out for a few miles today! i’m coming to the realization that i have been so inconsistent with my running so far this year. i’ve come up with excuses upon excuses to avoid running and i am honestly pretty disappointed in my self. here’s to trying to rack up some more miles and exploring more places like this! ⛰🏃🏼♀️
Our recovery week goes on with 8 miles easy yesterday and 7 easy today, ran a couple of miles at target marathon pace today to keep us on our toes which is probably the fastest we’ll go for the rest of the week 👍. Running tomorrow another easy one ahead of embarking to Utrecht for the State of Trance Festival. There’s a big park near where we’ll be so I’m targeting a run Saturday afternoon when we get there before going in and one on Sunday when I’ve had a rest, it finishes at 6am 🤣. .
Next race for me is a 10k at the end of March as part of the buildup to London leading into a tbt as I’ve not done one for a while, this is the Normanby Hall 10k last year where I finished 3rd setting my current PB of 34:49, the race was great running with these guys pulling each other along until we hit a rather large incline at half way, here it became every man for themselves as the group broke up and I was running more to hang onto 3rd as it’s the highest I’ve ever finished in a race. The 10k were doing at the end of March is flat all the way and truth be told I’d like 33 minutes but am aware that it’s not going to be easy given our lack of training over the last few months. .
Still feeling like I’ve just got back into it despite running to plan in Verona so I’d be happy to match my 10k PB next month. Once we’ve got this weekend out the way we’re starting essentially the last bit of prep for London so if we don’t run as fast as we’d like in the 10k we’ll just wait until summer 👍, the focus is the marathon with a good 10k time giving us a bit more encouragement, it’d be nice to PB but a more solid performance is what we’re after ideally and if that’s slower than we’ll take it 👍. .
Down to London tomorrow to make our way over to the Netherlands where amidst the music we’ll try to do some running 😬, happy running!! 🏃🏃.
SPRING!!! Che giornata meravigliosa quasi primaverile! 16 gradi in pausa pranzo fanno venire voglia di uscire a correre e goderti il sole e il caldo... e infatti senza accorgermene ho fatto 14km!
