Gah! 1st run after foot injury and 5 months of healing, laziness, and desserts resulted in a 21' 45" mile pace. LOL. At least now I can put weight on my foot and my little buddy, Hunter, can work off some of his chubbiness, too. Puppy, we have a lot of work to do.
Btw, I don't think I posted it here, but my ankle sprain that was then diagnosed as a *high* ankle sprain was actually a talus dome fracture with a high ankle sprain. That final diagnosis was 2 months post injury. At least the fracture was discovered and I finally allowed my foot bone to heal. I still can't jump or even jog, but I'm moving on both feet so that's improvement.
Sorry, I can’t make it, I already have plans with my dog…🐶
I don’t know about any of you, but when the weather starts getting cold and grey, I turn into a total hermit. My week days consist of work, the gym, and hanging out with the pup. I throw on a podcast and busy myself with some silly elaborate recipe that I’ve just concocted and the night flies by. Plus I’m in bed by 9:30 because I’m an old woman! It’s honestly my favorite! So yeah, I’ve got big plans tonight! With my dog…Also Mike will be there!
It’s been a while since I’ve looked forward to and enjoyed consistent running. I had forgotten how good the ups and downs feel, how it changes perspective, challenges and invigorates. I’m thankful that my body can still carry me through this running journey today and can’t wait for the journey ahead. #runner#runningismytherapy#runningbuddy#postrunreflection
