😀Count your blessings, not your problems 😀
Went out & climbed some new 🏔’s today, road the ferry & saw some amazing scenery from my 🚴🏼♀️. I’m so blessed to be able to do these sorts of things now! #norestrictions 😀
Stay tuned Columbus!
We are hoping that tomorrow’s winter storm will hold off until after our run, but make sure safety is your #1 priority tomorrow. We don’t know how long you’re running, where you’re coming from, your comfort/skill driving in inclement weather, etc. •••
You need to evaluate your individual situation and make the call based on what is right for you - do not base your decision on whether the group run is cancelled or not, and adjust your plans accordingly. •••
We just received word that all Central Ohio YMCA’s are closing at 10AM tomorrow.
Our official inclement weather policy can be found in the file section of the CWRC Discussion group.
Stretching the more I do it the better I feel. Especially before a run, it seriously is a game changer for me. Without stretching the miles are harder! Stretch and the miles feel effortless! Tonight on the @onepeloton app I did @mattwilpers 5 minute pre and post run stretching. You would think 5 minutes wouldn’t make a difference it it totally does! Do you stretch before you run? 5 mile || #runstreak day 352
I RAN today! And that makes me a happy gal!!! Guess rest was what my body really needed. Hopefully getting back into routine (slowly) next week!🏃♀️ 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️

Happy 300th to @rockingham_parkrun ...Thankyou for giving us somewhere to be every saturday...for giving us a running family...for giving us the opportunity to #keepshowingup ....Ryan wakes up every week asking to go to parkrun and to see his friends 💙 and Thankyou for the "C" theme...Chase and grumpy carebear absolutely roasted on this 40C day 🤣🤣🤣
This week was one big STRUGGLE. Luckily I was able to make it to the gym 3 times in the last 5 days. I stuck with the Arc Trainer this week to take a little break from the treadmill. My sole focus today was cardio. 60 minutes equaling 6 miles on the Arc Trainer had me feeling pretty good tonight.
Always believe in yourself and your abilities!
It’s easy to believe in yourself when your training is going well, but in order to succeed, you have to believe in yourself no matter how things are going.
Tonight I did my longest weekday run in months! I just felt good, so I kept running until I hit 8 miles. This week has been one of my best running weeks in months, so I’m getting more excited to race next month.
Happy Friday!! What are your running plans for the weekend?
#runstreak day 19 at Coomera parkrun... it was hot! The first half was ok but the heat builds so by the second half I had to slow down to prevent overheating... 🥵 nice course though and super friendly parkrun! I’d love to come back when the weather cools down a bit! #parkrunau#runhappy
‘Even when you have gone as far as you can, and everything hurts, and you are staring at the specter of self-doubt, you can find a bit more strength deep inside you, if you look closely enough.’ - Hal Higdon
2 days till the Louisiana Marathon!❤️🏃🏼♀️
On Saturday’s @katwatt83 and myself destroy ourselves just to make Sunday’s long run that little bit tougher 😏
Today was an 1.20 run, 2 x 20 minutes at tempo pace with 10 minutes very easy ib. I used half a gel 5 minutes into the warm up and in between tempo sets. The purpose of this is partly for practice but also for full fuelling for the quality session! There was some dry retching 🤦♂️🤢 but because I usually jump straight out of bed and don’t fuel before an early morning run, this morning’s carb boost was certainly of help. I didn’t quite hit the prescribed paces of the second tempo but effort was there! 🏃♀️
Tempo sessions with the sustained effort are one of the hardest for me. How have you have learnt to push through 20 plus minutes of high intensity work?
Got in another speed workout today! Schedule called for:
2 miles easy
2 x 45 sec fast, 1:30 recovery jog
2 x 1 mile tempo w/ 2 min rest between
Pace- First mile- 7:55-8
Second mile- Start around 7:55 and you can work down to 7:40 if feeling good.
Easy 2 min
2 x 45 sec fast, 1:30 recovery jog
2 miles easy
My mile intervals were 7:56 and 7:52. Not bad but I was hoping to have a faster time for the second one. Just couldn’t go any faster but it’s all good because I was in the range I needed to be in. So nice to get in over 7 miles before school drop off and work!!
Foto meramente ilustrativa.
Eu to de férias. Mas a planilha não, então espero que todo esse esforço em correr aqui vire “pace negativo” por uns dias quando voltar pra casa.

#flashbackfriday to running the #bostonmarathon in 2017! It is hard to believe that the 2019 Boston Marathon is less then 13 weeks away!! This will be my 4th time conquering this intense course, praying for decent weather! In 2015 it was cold, rainy, & a high face wind but I really enjoyed it. I finished at 3 hour 35 min & 30 secs reaching my goal to just enjoy the experience! In 2017 it was HOTTT reaching up to 80 deg temps. The good & bad news was it was a tail wind. The push was nice but you couldn’t cool off! I finished in 3 hours 17 minutes & extremely miserable hah. I was in condition to run it faster then that pace at the time as my training cycle went very well but the heat took a toll on me! 2018 was by far the worst weather. Up to 40 mph head winds & a solid DOWN pour the entire time, I was freezing & literally questioning if I could finish. I took it one mile at a time & finished at 3 HR 19 minutes also in a lot of misery. That one took me a few months to mentally get over. I remember not wanting to run for awhile after, which isn’t like me! -
So why I am going back again? Well, Considering almost 5,000 people didn’t get accepted to run this race who had a qualifying time .. I would almost feel ashamed not running while I qualify! I’m also praying that this is the year we get that 40 degree clear sky day with a tail wind!! Whatever the weather brings this race is one of the most prestigious races & it’s an honor to run it!! There is nothing like the feeling of finishing the Boston Marathon!! The entire race Weekend is always an incredible experience meeting Elite runners & other runners from all over! I’m looking forward to another attempt at conquering this course & running the Big Sur Marathon 2 weeks after!!

I love this ten years challenge ❤️ The first picture is of 10 years ago, I still did sport at that time but without specific training and with a bad diet 👎 The difference is very clear of how doing things well the results are much better 😉 HAPPY FRIDAY 😃▪️▪️▪️▪️ #IMoveMe#runner#running#runnergirl#swimmer#halfmarathoner
