It’s Hug a Runner Day!! So happy that my best friend loves me enough to train for marathons with me!!! He might be faster at the mile, but I have him beat at the half and the full! 😜
But seriously, I am so grateful that he runs WITH me- easy runs, workouts, and everything in between. I am very, very thankful for my runner 🤗
I’m also very, very thankful for all my running friends because they are the best ✨
Getting by with a little help from my friends. Day 6 of the #5krunstreak in the books. Feeling pretty good so far. Considering this is the most consecutive days I’ve run in well over a year I feel damn good. Body is giving me a little bit of push back in the Achilles area, but that’s to be expected. Keep going at it everyday. Some will be good some bad but you better believe I’ll keep crossing that finish line. Not pictured but @chubs2ridgewaylife killing it everyday with me is a huge motivation!! 33 days to go brother!!
No #tracktuesday for me this week but soon! 5 miles with some strides and a pick up the last mile. . So who is going a #turkeytrot this Thursday and what time are you shooting for?!?...

My one woman support team, who made sure I had everything I could possibly need for twelve hours, and then some. Pretty sure she got a kick out of taking delirious/exhausted photos and the forced post-race ice bath though.
Eu tava torcendo, vibrando, tagarelando, me emocionando. Parabéns meu pai, MARATONISTA! Parabéns a todos os guerreiros que fizeram essa prova, máximo respeito. 💖
Tá estampando no rosto a felicidade, a alegria de ver a linha de chegada! Amo vc pai @anderson0052#run#maratona#maratonista#maratonadecuritiba2018#curitiba#corridaderua#corrermais#runforfun#equipileque#corresebebes#gr2assessoria
#endorfinamos#amem#runners#runforfun
3 mile #runch and soaking up the sunshine- may be the last we see of it for a while!🌞Heading to the west side of the state later in the week for Thanksgiving #2 (or Soupsgiving as my Seattle sis in law calls it🍲❤️) and no surprise but rain is predicted all weekend. Looking forward to a fun week of family time 🦃
No matter what country I am in, my life always involves lots of running in the sun and other outdoor activities, which is not ideal for my skin
And although I’m a bit vain and want to keep my skin youthful and healthy, I would not give up my lifestyle just to look good. That’s why I have to give my skin some extra care via nutrition and external skin care
Although I’m confident with the nutrition aspect, I’m not a skin expert and so I’ve sought advice from @skinhealthemporium in regards to what products to use given my skin type, age, lifestyle and other factors
I love this medal because I earned it on the same streets I run every day. Race Street, Kelly Drive, Chestnut St. Bridge, 34th Street... all of these have borne the daily pounding of my feet (seriously, I have really bad form) and brought me to this point. Thank you Philadelphia! #medalmonday#phillymarathon#whyIlovePhilly
[Monday Motivation]. Looking back on 2018, I raced only five times, three marathons and two half-marathons, fewer races, but better quality of performance👊🏻. Tokyo🇯🇵 was my fastest race ever, the course is amazing, the weather was perfect (I like it really cold❄️) and crossing the 30k in 1:52, gave me the confidence that I can definitely run a 2:36/2:37🔥on a great day, it´s just a matter of time😉! Then in April I ran Boston💙🦄, and I came out with a 273rd overall, on a race with such high profile runners, it felt quite awesome.
I never imagined I would finish a marathon faster than Shalane Flanagan or Molly Huddle.
The effort on that day was of HEROIC levels, with the weather conditions🌨️🌬️, I´m sure on a normal day I could have ran quite fast on that day, I felt amazing.
This was one of my best performances ever, that 2:44 tasted like a sub 2:40, I can´t wait to be back in Boston and see what surprise we have in 2019.And finally New York🗽, this marathon taught me the biggest lesson, coming into the race I came with one of my best training cycles, really lean like 8% body fat and with no significant injuries.
I was even a bit overconfident that I was going to break 2:40 no problem😅, I felt so good, why wouldn´t I?
And then on race day, I realized that if your body is not 100% on race day, there is only so much you can force it, the marathon will make sure to humble you down!
I´ll take this as a huge motivator for 2019, make sure I take in all the learnings and improve myself next year!
