Most people sleep about 7 or 8 hours a night. Leaving 16 to 17 hours awake each day.
Or about 1000 minutes. If you think about those minutes as 100 10-minute blocks. That's what you wake up with everyday.
Throughout the day, you spend 10 minutes of your life on each block, until you eventually run out of blocks.
How many of then are you putting towards yourself, family, your future, and useless things?

ACID in terms of databases
💡 Consistency ensures that any data written to the database are valid according to all defined rules. If a transaction starts with some valid data then during the same transaction all of the writes to database preserve the consistency. But it's up to the application to keep transactions correctly to preserve the data consistency, the application define what data is correct and what isn't. The application can rely on database's atomicity whereas consistency is not database's responsibility.
💡 The main purpose of isolation is to leave the database in the same state while executing concurrent transactions. In other words each of transactions is isolated from others (the transaction acts as if it's the only one that executes at the same time). However, in practice, isolation can decreases performance and some of databases implement weaker level of isolation - snapshot isolation.
💡 Durability guarantees that once a transaction has committed, data that was changed by the transaction will stay committed even in the case of a failure. To provide such ability the data has been written to non temporary storage and probably involves *write-ahead log*. To provide durability the database have to wait until the changes has been written to a non temporary storage successful and only after this operation the database can commit the transaction as successful.
✴ Write-ahead log is the non temporary place which contains all of the writes made to the database
