Hala Leaves is back! One of our very first prints is back as a hand printed design on polyester spandex— a customer favorite textile. There are three options in polyester spandex and I’m just gonna say, grab um while you can. It takes a while for us to get this printed by our on-island printers. They still do this all by hand and I have mad #respect for the men that do this for us. Scoop one up this weekend. Friday 12-6, Saturday 10-2 #arisouth#madeinhawaii#arialohafriday
I think a few big questions people in the #LGBT community ask are, “Who am I? What does this mean?” When you come into your own, and start to accept that parts of yourself that you originally hated, or the part of you that you hid for so long, it’s hard to know who you are.
That was the biggest struggle I’ve had for the past few years. What do I even want from life? What do I even like?
At first glance the pictures seem totally different. But they’re both me. I like to dress up. But I love having a masculine energy. I feel more #comfortable and #confident. I feel more myself.
It took a long time for me to find this person, and to accept myself because I was worried about the people I cared about. I was worried that I was letting people down.
But really I was only letting myself down because I wasn’t being true to what made me happy.
When you talk to people, make sure that you aren’t super imposing your hopes and dreams for them, ONTO THEM. Its hard learning who you are when you’re trying to keep the people you care about #happy.
Most people just decide not to care anymore because they feel stifled by other people. And that’s sad. Because it means that they don’t want to go to you for advice, or help because they don’t trust you anymore to care about what’s best for them and what makes them happy.
It’s important to realize that every person has a choice. You might not like they’re choice, but to them, that choice is what makes them happy.
Still #love them. And #respect them. They need that more then anything.
Think Happy, BE HAPPY!
