As I started my rebrand a few months ago, this was one of the main concepts I kept in mind. I want people to see me out on the street and be able to recognize who I am, without me needing to introduce myself.

How is your company managing reputational risk?
Managing reputational risk involves 5 steps, according to The Harvard Business Review.
Step 1: Assessing your company's reputation among stakeholders. Since reputation is perception, it is perception that must be measured. This argues for the assessment of reputation in multiple areas, in ways that are contextual, objective, and, if possible, quantitative.
Three questions need to be addressed:
1. What is the company’s reputation in each area (product quality, financial performance, and so on)? 2. Why?
3. How do these reputations compare with those of the firm’s peers?

I am so delighted to share with you all that I was invited to none other than the IIM, the Indian Institue of Management - Ahmedabad for an executive course in Practise Management and Reputation Management. Only about 25 dermatologists from all over the country were a part of this course. 😀
It was a surreal experience living on the campus, attending lectures from 9 to 5, participating in group tasks and discussions right until 1am at night. Exploring Ahmedabad and the yummy food at vishala, Swati snacks and Rajwadu and experiencing the energy at Khau Galli. All of this with my best bud @drrohan and @dr.vijay_nagdev. It was fun to be back on the college campus after so many years. 😄
We all came back with super knowledge about management and learning from the management gurus themselves was an amazing experience that I'll cherish forever.
As doctors, when we come out of our medical colleges, we are equipped with medical knowledge. But, in today's world, it is important to know about practice and reputation management with social and other media so active and doctors having to put themselves out there. I feel that this really should be a part of our training.
Trust and confidence are created because we’re able to present ourselves as informed, knowledgeable, and easy to understand. However, when you’re in front of the media, and you don’t embody those aspects, it can quickly lead to immediate and long-term brand reputation challenges.
That’s why when you do get media coverage that’s vital to your marketing strategy, you can’t avoid questions, not knowing the answers, or sounding like you aren’t 100% sure about why you’re there.
That’s why it’s crucial that you’re thoroughly prepared for an interview and anticipate any questions that may be asked, so you don’t ruin your reputation before you even get started.
Here are three tips you can utilize to help you deliver an effective interview:
👍Know exactly what you want your audience to take away from the interview.
👍Never “wing it.” Just because you're immersed in a subject every day through your business doesn't mean you can spontaneously string sentences together to create a smooth interview experience.
👍Develop key talking points that convey your message
These are just a few simple, and effective ways to get you started, but you should always go the extra mile to be prepared for interviews or media coverage.
Remember, you want potential customers, investors, or community members to trust in what you have to say, believe in what you’re selling or offering, and take action after you’ve presented your message.
From your posture to your answers to the way you interact with your interviewer can make the difference between establishing yourself as a go-to professional or ruining your reputation in an instant. Always be prepared to make the right impression.
