👷♂️ Installing a chemical DPC 👷♂️
Once the original damp course fails, for which there can be many reasons. A new one Is a good step to resolving rising damp issues.
There are a few ways you can achieve this, but the method we use is very effective and more cost effective to the customer.
Holes are drilled & filled with a water based DPC cream. When drilling the new holes, it is common for the mortar to look like iron filings (as seen). This indicates the mortar is highly saturated with water which has risen above the original DPC damaging the property.

The front of our house got a little facelift last night! Installing a new door made a HUGE difference for the exterior of this home. I really wanted a craftsman style door and we found this one for only $200 at Home Depot! I will say that Paul had to order and install the hardware himself which took some elbow grease and wasn’t necessarily “easy” but doing that saved us a ton of money! We used tongue oil to stain it and keep it as natural looking as possible and I think overall it turned out beautiful! (We still have to remove the screen door framing around the door)The last picture is our before (not a great image sorry) and the second picture is just my current obsession with layering door mats, thanks @homegoods! 🍁🍂
Made some selections for our kitchen! This marble counter (a little crazy with my boys, I know, but this is a dense marble), sink material, natural white oak floors & a darker stain on white oak for the island, white shaker cabinets. This beautiful custom wood stain is by @beyondstockllc WDYT of the plan? 👍 or 👎?

🛠Kitchen Extension 🛠
#throwbackthursday to creating our kitchen extension 👩🏼🍳👨🏼🍳 the house downstairs was a living room and a tiny box kitchen so we knocked through and made around half of the long living room part of the kitchen and the front we made our office/play room/reception room. We added 3m out and it’s 5.5m across. It’s safe to say it’s been a huge success with us and we spend most of our time in here ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
