Looking back, I can be grateful for grief ... (Long post alert)
My dads passing was 2 years ago today.
Anniversaries can be tough. (My mom passed unexpectedly 6 years ago February 2012.) 💕 I’m “parentless” in my Earthly life, but I’m never without a Father in Heaven who is aware of me and loves me.
And now that grief is a part of my EVERYday life, I wouldn’t choose to forget it.
You don’t forget your grief, you learn to love with it, it’s a part of WHO you are, for better or for WORSE. (And believe me there are some beautiful 🦋 memories and some deeply sad 😫 ones too)
And your life grows with the grief,
And your heart grows bigger because of the grief,
And your compassion grows because of the grief,
And your determination grows because of the grief,
And you love each and every day you have with your loved ones... because of the grief.
If you’ve read this far, know that I LOVE YOU.
That I’m grateful you’re a part of my life.
And though I may be “parent-less” I’m grateful for the specific role YOU play in my life, because I believe our lives were meant to cross paths at this time.
