Some recent (off the charts amazing) bookmail I’ve received from very generous publishers 😍
I’m definitely going to be reading SAY YOU STILL LOVE ME by @katucker_ as soon as possible (she’s one of my autobuy/favorite authors so there’s no way I can’t wait 😆). And I’ve heard wonderful things about NORMAL PEOPLE by Sally Rooney (it’s a highly anticipated read for me) so I’m moving it up the TBR and will hopefully get to it soon.
Any of these of your TBR? Below are the release dates!
. . .
NORMAL PEOPLE out now
WUNDERLAND out 4/23
ELLIE AND THE HARP MAKER out 8/6 (it has a new cover design!)
THE LAST HOUSE GUEST out 6/18
FAME ADJACENT out now
SAY YOU STILL LOVE ME out 8/6

Do you have a fear that others might find irrational? I get a fair amount of grief over my fear of moths (fluttery, erratic little terrors) and goats (demon-eyed, shoe-eating bullies), but the fear is real. (Babt goats are exempt from this fear. Baby moths *shudders* are not.) What's something you're afraid of that most people aren't?
Also, if you haven't already, check out this gorgeous series by the talented @raecarsonpics. It has all the hallmarks of a Rae Carson book-- vivid world, thoughtfully unspooling plot, and characters crafted with meticulous care. 💜
This poor thing has been on so many TBRs and I'm starting to worry that if I don't get to it this time around, I never will (but I just ordered the third book.... so there's that!). I'll have to find some way to make sure I definitely read it past the first page 🙃 which is strange to me because I absolutely loved the first book because of the mix of SFF and political elements. In my review, I even compare to X-Men - which I adore!
Thank you to the tagged publishers for all these #freebooks - I am continuously grateful to be a reader in this space. I am especially excited to read Only Ever Her by @marybethwhalen - it sounds SO GOOD!
It’s Holy Week, and also, 3 days before Easter and I haven’t gotten anything for my boys’ Easter baskets 🙈. I am such a last minute person, and even with the best intentions I can never seem to shake that off. It’s something I’d love to change about myself - to think ahead would be a great gift to myself and the people around me. Sigh. Anyone else out there not great at planning ahead? Tell me I’m not alone. Or if you’re a reformed forgetful-last-minuter, share your secrets with me!
So for #throwbookthursday and in honor of the Notre Dame fire, I’m highlighting my love for this book, 🧡The Pillars of the Earth 🧡by Ken Follett. I read this several years ago and it really stayed with me. I consider it one of my all time favorite books! I’ve been thinking of it this week after seeing the sad images of the Notre Dame Cathedral burning. Pillars is the epic story of several families set in 12th century England. It’s so fascinating to read how many years and hard work it took to build to build these amazing cathedrals! It’s not a quick read by any means but one that should be savored and enjoyed. I highly recommend you read this if you haven’t already!
In a time of civil war, famine and religious strife, there rises a magnificent Cathedral in Kingsbridge. Against this backdrop, lives entwine: Tom, the master builder, Aliena, the noblewoman, Philip, the prior of Kingsbridge, Jack, the artist in stone and Ellen, the woman from the forest who casts a curse. At once, this is a sensuous and enduring love story and an epic that shines with the fierce spirit of a passionate age.
A spellbinding epic tale of ambition, anarchy, and absolute power set against the sprawling medieval canvas of twelfth-century England, this is Ken Follett’s historical masterpiece.
It's a mesmerizing new novel from the bestselling author of The English Patient which I read last year and loved it so much, highly recommend if you are a fan of historical fiction!
This novel tells a dramatic story set in the decade after World War II through the lives of a small group of unexpected characters and two teenagers whose lives are indelibly shaped by their unwitting involvement.

#CurrentlyReading - My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing
This is definitely a case of #bookstagrammademedoit ! After seeing all of the crazy reviews for this book, I knew I had to read it.
The descriptions of this book as totally insane and psychotic remind me of Fashion Victim by Amina Akhtar, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I can’t wait to read this crazy book!!
It’s so weird how I went book after book after book and now I’m finding it hard to pick up a book 🙀 I can’t seem to find the motivation to read even though I want to read Lady Midnight 👀 And I was doing so well the first three months :( Also I kinda blame Game Of Thrones from distracting me 🙈 #booknerdproblems
