Letting myself breath for a bit tonight. Working on my project while I wait in lobbies. Got to do some design work today which is always my favorite. Kinda wish I majored in graphics design instead of comp eng, but too late now 🤦♂️.
Tip 👉 Need some UI inspiration go to dribble and you'll be floored. Great designers over there. Also if you're wanting a nice minimal futuristic font for your app, try Euclid Flex. Trust me.
I took me TWO HOURS to figure out why my anchor tags in my were refusing to change to black in a assigned media query. Turns out I was using the wrong “about me.css” ...problem solved. It’s important to back up your files, be sure not to edit your backups 😂😂😂...or you’ll be really sorry.
1 of 5 fCC certification. Must say the way that free code camp is structured is spectacular! I would highly recommend this to anyone learning or wanting to learn web design and development!
I'm always skeptical of anything that has "free" in its name as it is usually too good to be true, has hidden costs associated with it or is crap quality, however freeCodeCamp is the polar opposite. The courses and projects are incredibly insightful the tool they built to help you learn allows you to write and test your code in the browser giving you feedback and help if you are stuck. The two biggest things to notice about fCC is that it has an amazing approach to building networks and communities and secondly it's a nonprofit that's build on community donations!
If you choose to use fCC to learn coding please please please make sure you donate at some point! Every little helps! I course on web development on udemy costs £20-£30 why not donate £10-£20 to fCC and use their platform instead!
#travel#coding#milan#work#europe#reactjs#js

As a pro athlete racing your good friends is always a given. Can you believe @durst102 who’s in this pic with me and I would share rooms at the meet, eat together, travel on the bus to the track together, line up and race each other and still remain the best of friends no matter the outcome.
Love you Durstie 😘

The future looked so distant, but today that future is here. Thanks to Coding I've achieved a lot of goals and also confronted challenges I never imaged or understood before.⠀
What do YOU want to accomplish this year? ⠀
For all of those just starting their coding journey and all of us with new year resolutions, here is a reality check of all the awesome things that can be accomplished when becoming a programmer 1 day at a time:⠀
✅ Got my first job after 3 months of graduating⠀
✅ Became a remote full-time employee after 1 and 1/2 working for my first company.⠀
✅ Gained Experience working with small (team of 5) and big companies (team of 300+)⠀
✅ Moved from PA to Florida and kept my job!!!⠀
✅ Gained experience as a Backend Developer with NodeJS!⠀
✅ Gained experience as a Frontend Developer with ReactJS and Angular7!⠀
✅ First Talk at a developer's Meetup! ⠀
✅ Became a contractor at Universal Studios Orlando⠀
✅ Doubled my salary and tasted the sweet 6 figure income!⠀
✅ Got my first freelance gig thanks to networking⠀
✅ Became a freelancer and worked from home!⠀
In short, these past 3 years and 2 in the working field have been some sort of a buffet, where my wildest dreams came true, where I got out of my comfort zone and explored all kinds of working styles. It has helped tremendously in defining what I want next but most importantly I've learned that the only real limits are within. ⠀
If I've managed to accomplish my goals and beyond, so can you!⠀
Dare to Code it! ⠀
Happy New Year!⠀
