Menindee Fish Kill Part 4 - The Culprits.
Frank is a local that lives a few kilometres down stream from Cubbie. This year, he has exactly the same amount of water as Cubbie, and the same amount of Cotton as well. Have a listen to just how much that is.
The photos at the end are of both water storage facilities (irrigation) and some cultivation.
Fact: less than 1% of the Dirranbandi cropping area is planted this season. The town is surviving off resilience and that alone.
The Green Shirts Movement was formed to correct the record and defend the truth, for the whole of the Ag sector. If anyone you know has tried to blame Cubbie and other cotton irrigators in the area, please show them this video. If it was you, we encourage you to reconsider your approach of preaching "facts" in the future.
Our tour of beautiful far north Queensland continues 💚💚💚 "In Rocky yesterday I met more inspirational teachers doing their best for our kids in under-funded schools - an issue the Greens have a plan to fix. After a very moving meeting with the local women’s DV shelter, lots of people joined us for a public meeting where we discussed free education, better funding and support for mental health services and hospitals, action on climate change and cleaning up abandoned mines, pill testing and drug law reform, the banking royal commission, ending corporate donations to political parties, regional Qld job creation, community involvement in decision making and compassion for people seeking asylum. What a wonderful compassionate bunch Queenslanders are!" - Queensland Greens Senator @larissawaters.
A congratulatory kiss for my friend @fridayology on being named the 2019 MBRC Citizen of the Year! Elisha is a relentless advocate for people with disability, and the Mayor said Council would not have their Disability Access & Inclusion Plan with Elisha pushing for it. #qldpol

Banning political text messages is ok, but I think they need bigger goals. I got no reply.

"We have completely lost the war on drugs. The whole policy area is wrong. I think we have to legalise, regulate, and deal with this as a public health issue. When are we going to get real about this? Because it's not working." That moment when you realise you agree with Campbell Newman 👀 (image courtesy of ABC Brisbane).
#repost#watertheft Call you MP, demand an investetigation into the Murray-Darling River System. #LNP MP's are implicated in this. It's a government failure or worse, and Australia wants #answers "This fish is 100 years old. It's never coming back." These farmers holding back tears as they show just two of their dead 100-year-old fish are furious at the "bloody disgraceful" NSW government, and they're demanding the world take notice.
It comes after shocking images emerged of hundreds of thousands of dead fish along the Darling River in NSW. “This is the result of draining the Menindee Lakes twice in four years, killing the system,” say Rob McBride. "This is nothing to do with drought, this is a manmade disaster."
An emotional Dick Arnold, on the verge of tears, says members of the government “have to be bloody disgusted with yourself, politicians and cotton grower manipulators. It’s bloody atrocious … Look at them! It makes me feel like crying again."
On Tuesday, about 150 residents who had gathered at a boat ramp in Menindee to speak to the NSW primary industries minister had to stand and watch as he passed by on a boat inspecting the river. Niall Blair’s office said he did not stop because of security concerns following threats on social media.
The mass kill of hundreds of thousands of native fish is the second major incident after an estimated 10,000 fish were killed just weeks ago, and some experts fear whole populations of native fish stocks could be all but wiped out this time.

Praying that these laws decriminalizing abortion in Queensland do not pass!!!! Pray with me 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 #Repost@christyjohnston555 “If to be feelingly alive to the sufferings of my fellow-creatures is to be a fanatic, I am one of the most incurable fanatics ever permitted to be at large.” -William Wilberforce. • Today in Brisbane we marched for the voiceless, for our unborn children who face the harshest and most extreme laws in Queensland to date. Hidden under the guise of ‘women’s health and autonomy’ these laws prey on the vulnerable and defenceless, expose and subject women to violence and allow for abortion for any reason up until birth, including sex-selective abortions - which is essentially preying on female unborn babies subjecting them to a brutal and painful death. It must not and it can not pass 🙅🏽 Hear our voices loud and clear @jackietrad and @annastaciamp WE SHALL NOT RELENT! • Thankyou to @cherishlifeqld for an incredible event! Let’s keep this momentum moving forward! #fortheunborn#forthevoiceless#forwomen#lovethemboth#prolife#prolifemarch#cherishlife#cherishlifeqld#marchforlife#qldabortionlaws#qldpol
