How to Safely Prepare and use a Steam Inhalation, with essential oils:
✨With a clean bath towel set aside, fill a glass bowl with hot, steaming water (hot enough to create steam, but not hot enough to burn your skin or your sensitive sinus tissues)
✨Add one drop of essential oil (consider using lavender, cinnamon bark, an immune protective blend, like OnGuard, or a respiratory support essential oil blend, like Breathe. Be sure to check labels to ensure that you do not have sensitivities to any oils that are included in your blend) to your bowl of steaming water. If more than one drop escapes your essential oil bottle, please use the mixture for diffusion instead, and begin preparing your Steam Inhalation bowl again. *More than one drop of essential oil in a Steam Inhalation can be overpowering and may cause headaches. ✨Place your clean towel over the back of your head and shoulders, close your eyes, and lean over the steaming bowl of water, creating a “tent” over your bowl with your towel. This will help you “trap” the steam, allowing you to come in contact with and breathe in the essential oils, as the steam rises.
✨Please use your own judgment, and adjust your positioning over the bowl according to what your body is telling you. If you feel that you would like stronger exposer to the essential oils, lean closer into the bowl. If the essential oils seem too strong, please create more space between your face and the bowl, allowing more ventilation and air to move under and through your towel and the area of the steaming bowl. This should be a comfortable and relieving experience, not an overpowering or uncomfortable one.
✨Deeply and slowly breathe in the steam, and stay in position above the bowl, for a few minutes – the duration of time that you desire. 💕 Continued. 👇

im currently typing this with one hand because even moving my fingers or hand sends a bold of lightening pain directly from where the pin is holding my wrist together. pin needs to stay in another 2 weeks or so. i had a feeling this would happen. Dr told me i cannot put any pressure on my elbow or forearm, which i had been doing when i stretch & teach yin. i always use blocks & bolsters but i need to be even more careful.
I did get the chance to see how my arm looks & its not pretty. the pin area was terrifying, dry blood & crust around my skin. wrist & arm still looks very much deformed. ive been in a cast for 50 days, so it doesnt even feel like my wrist is a part of my body anymore
got a fresh new clean cast & i was on my way. a wave of anxiety hit me when i thought about how i am going to have this pin & cast for my yoga retreat. i cant adjust people. i cant open a packet of stevia without feelin excruciating pain. this is what gives me panic attacks. i feel trapped. i want to run, but cant because the pressure being sent to the wrist is painful as all hell. getting dressed &undressed with one arm is probbably the most unpleasant experience of them all
got home & another wave of anxiety hit me. ive had a handful of panic attacks today, multiple screams, several crying spurts. i tried to drain myself by doing light yoga outside but my mind is scattered
there have been a dozen times when i feel like i just want to crawl out of my skin. im just so sick of feeling this pin in my wrist. ive been in pain and discomfort since july 9. ive never felt so trapped in my life, & i dont have anyone helping me with stupid daily tasks. i am in isolation mode right now. my temper is at an all time high & my patience is at a zero.
Not even 15 minutes after I wrote this in my iPhone notes, I received one of the best emails of my life. I’ve been manifesting new opportunities & it’s finally paying off. I won’t get too ahead of myself, but this is proof that we must be patient & trust our gut when it says to go for something FUCKING GO FOR IT
