Dreams are a big deal. I believe God gives us dreams and assignments for this life. 👉🏻But here are a few things I've learned in the past few years about dreams:
✨Don't make the dream an idol.
---> When we hold on to "our dream" or "our calling" so tight that we can't hear God and can't surrender to let it go, it's no longer about Him, it's about ourselves. Am I more committed to God or more committed to "my calling"?
✨God calls us at any age, at any season, and often, to MORE than one dream.
---> Don't believe the lie and pressure yourself into thinking you've got to find your ONE calling in life.
---> God often gives us assignments in seasons - the one assignment sets us up for the next one, and so on.
---> All the disciples were called out of what they thought was their life long career. Moses had many different assignment seasons & each one was necessary to give him the skills he'd need and the humble character he'd require in order to lead. I could go on and on.
✨God can call you at any age. He can change or tweak your calling at any age.
---> You don't have to look back at when you were 7 years old and your dream was ____! Like if that's not your dream anymore it's ok! There are qualities and gifts within yourself that take TIME to discover and with them your dreams may adjust or even completely change. It's ok. I wanted to be a school teacher from age 3 on. I did teach school for 6 years and STILL love to teach, but I discovered I prefer it in an entrepreneurial setting. I had no idea that this was in me when I was a kid.
✨BOTTOM LINE: Be hands open to God with your dreams. Where ever HE wants to lead you, have the humility to be listening and say YES to Him!
Just surround me with all of the art and I'll feel renewed🎨💛 Today may you remember that life is a playground, be easy on yourself, & have grattitude in your heart ❤ "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." -Proverbs 31:25 💕
Who here in their 30s can still sit cross-legged?
I guess this might be a strange question. I look at my parents generation, and they have trouble getting down on the floor to play with the grandkids. Often a chair is pulled closer or a pillow is used, and always there is help needed when returning to standing.
But here I am, only 38, asking this question.
Do you know that for a few years now, when I go to the movies, no matter how often I move my legs, I still have trouble going down the first step when the movie is over? I seriously hope that my knees don’t give out.
Do you know, I have one varicose vein running down the back of my left leg that lengthens a bit more every year? (It’s been visible for over 15 years now).
Do you know that for a while this summer, I couldn’t get through a 15 minute meditation without having my toes start tingling?
I am on here every day trying to motivate you and inspire you to be healthier. And in the process, admittedly, I show you how healthy I am as a representation of what’s possible. Yes, even I fall into the trap of over representing what is “good” and not always what is real.
But the truth is, I am still battling some health issues. And while you might be tempted to just tell me that this is a natural part of aging, I know that it’s actually a symptom of something that needs to be addressed. And I AM addressing it.
And I can happily tell you that things are improving.
I am sharing my whole journey and all of my health issues in a different space. If you’re interested in learning more about what I am going through, how I am fixing things, and possibly just find community with others for the things that ail you, then comment below to get the link!
"Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil." — Matthew 4:1
Wait - did I just read that right? The Spirit... LED Jesus...into the wilderness?? To be tempted...by the devil??
Yup. That’s definitely what the Bible says. With the afterglow of the Spirit still fresh on him, and the loving words of the Father still ringing in his ears, Jesus was rushed from his miraculous and momentous baptism, straight into the wilderness where he would suffer, and be tempted by Satan himself. What an abrupt and violent turn of events!
The bible says that in the wilderness, Jesus fasted for forty days and became "very hungry.” (Um, hello - I get very hungry after just a day of fasting!) I’m sure, there in the wilderness, he thought about coffee and chocolate and pasta. (Ok, maybe that’s what I would be thinking about!) But if you’ve ever fasted for more than a day or two, you would know that your body begins to slow down. You become physically weak and lethargic. Your thoughts can get a little hazy. .
On top of the discomfort of fasting food, I can imagine that Jesus was not only physically hungry - but emotionally hungry as well. He was in the wilderness. He was alone. There was no one there to care for him, protect him, comfort him, encourage him, or just….be with him. I also wonder if he felt confused or abandoned by His Father, who had literally just days before publicly proclaimed: “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” (See Matt 3:17) Could Jesus have prayed prayers like, "Where’d you go Dad? I thought you loved me! Didn’t you JUST say to all my friends that I brought you great joy! Where are you??"

For years I wanted a BREAKTHROUGH from my corporate job! I talked sooo negative about it year after year after year...but it wasn't until I changed my "attitude" that God brought the change in my life! SIX years at my corporate job and my BREAKTHROUGH came only ten months after completely changing my attitude in person and in my prayer journal! Waiting months to see a change sounds way better than years, If I do say so myself! But, I wasnt waiting on God... God was waiting on ME! Now, I know what finally made the SHIFT occur....it was making that change in my attitude in everything I was "writing" related to my job that made my relationship with God grow stronger..that positivity daily was strength watering my breakthrough so God could see that it ALL was planted on SOLID GROUND! From Corporate World to Stay-at-Home Mom Got to Thank God For That!💪🏽

"Open your mouth, judge righteously, and administer justice for the poor and needy." Proverbs 31:9
In politics, sometimes tough choices have to be made.
Battles have to be chosen.
There is a time to speak out about something valuable to you, and a time to stay publicly silent.
But all the while, you pray. .
One resolution didn't pass, another one, more critical, did.
Keeping taxes low isn't just a nice ideology. It's putting money back into people's wallets. It's looking out for the poor and needy.
Which is exactly what a Proverbs 31 woman does. .
To many people this will look like a regular old swing set.
To me it's a trip down memory lane. It's also a place that reminds me to stop worrying about what others think and to accept love from those around me.
Growing up, I was new to the neighbourhood and was at the park making new friends. My Dad came with me. .
He was swinging on this very swing. He was even when the top bar when the chain snapped and he fell to the ground. .
I was mortified and ran home crying to my Mom that Dad was embarrassing me. .
I love coming back to this spot now to remember all those times my Dad loved me and I didn't even realize it. .
I think often times we look for love to come to us in one form, causing us to miss love and appreciation coming to us in other ways. .
One way to overcome this is to understand your love language and ask people for love in a way that you understand. .
The 5 love languages are: physical touch, quality time, words of affirmation, gifts and acts of service. .
Do you know your love language? .
He remained on Earth 33 years, and His life can be summarized in these few words: “He went about doing good to all.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He consoled the sorrowful and cured the sick, the lame, the blind, the deaf and the dumb. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He cleansed the poor lepers and brought them back to their homes, from which they had been driven. He raised the dead to life. What a story of love! -Fr. Paul O’Sullivan, OP
It’s amazing to me what just 5 minutes here in the morning does for my whole day. Make time for the ones you love. 💛🌿 +JMJ+
If you go to my feed and struggle with comparison, please don’t. I know what it’s like to feel like I’m not good enough when I stumble across a cute, fancy & coordinated Instagram feed, see loved ones having babies, getting married and me still in school but not being able to even afford a car. HEY! No lies— I am completely being real with you guys. Because while I believe social media has a certain attraction, I want Jesus to be the right attraction.
I don’t ever want you to think I’m perfect.
I’m a mess.
I probably use the same pair of shoes everyday and as you can see, I literally use this overall everyday as well.
I’m not perfect. I don’t have it all figured out. I’m real. I’m willing to make my Instagram cute more than willing to make my Christian life be a better one each day. (W h o a! Deep. Too deep maybe?) That’s the reality of many of you as well.
Come on, let’s be honest and real here for a moment. We spend so much time wearing masks each day to cover our struggles, our scars that we’re too afraid to speak out about realness.
The reason I like being open, and being transparent it’s because I want you to realize that while others who are in the same (or worst) position as me rely on this world, I want you to see that I rely on JESUS.
He’s the only one who can turn our ugliness into beauty ❤️ #itsachristiangirlthing

I’ve learned that when you love you, no one can take that away from you. Understanding that where God has you is where he wants you and know he makes no mistakes. .
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

I haven’t posted my training lately but I’ve been really staying on track with it. I just completed Week 8 Run 2 of my #marathontraining with a distance of 6 miles!😍
And let’s just say it was pretty hot out there!
People in their struggle and weakness often say “no one understands” or feels as if there is nothing that would ever be able to comfort them in their time of hurt. The truth is many of us won’t be able to understand, we might not be able to. But the One who understands is the one who was sent to earth to experience these sufferings so we would never have to do it alone. He understands. He cares. It’s such a testimony of God’s love for us that He would send His son not only to grant us the chance at salvation but so that someone WOULD understand us and love us enough to say I would go through this all again for you.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin.
So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help 🗝 Hebrews 4:15-16
On Sunday, I shared my struggle with social media. After reading your comments and messages and thinking and praying about it more, I realized that what I’m really struggling with is my own selfish ambition. •
I love to write. I pray my writing encourages you to know Jesus. I hope it spurs you on to love well, live intentionally and be confident. But I also want to see that follower count rise. I want that book contract. I want to make my dreams a reality. I want. I want. I want. With the want comes the hustle, and with the hustle comes losing sight of all the things I set out to do in the first place. •
What if my prayers are being answered and my dreams are coming true RIGHT NOW? What if God is using my writing to reach the ONE...To encourage the community I already have...To GROW SMALL...? •
Perhaps this season isn’t one of struggle but one of surrender: to where I am in life, to showing up for my people, to less of me and more of HIM. He must increase, and I must decrease. #10thingstotellyou day 8

Some days you wake up get everything thing done and go play at the park. Other days are for sleeping in, lazy start and slow going. It’s all about balance LOL ....
I’m still trying to find my vibe with staying at home. Some days I have it all together and other days I’m just a hot mess express. But no matter how our mornings start or the how the day goes I’m thankful I was given the opportunity to build a business from home. ....
Quitting my job, being apart of an amazing team, and most importantly being home with Paxten for the good and bad moments and everything in between is priceless. I wanted to brbthe one who raised my son and by leaving him each day for work I felt like I wasn’t have an impact in his life. ...
I felt he was learning from everyone else and I felt so guilty. We had an amazing sitter from the moment I returned to work until I quit but it still didn’t help fill that #momguilt. While staying home isn’t for everyone and I never thought it was for me I’m so blessed I’m able to thanks to coaching!
I went live in my behind the scenes group to share my story and how I built this business and turned my wish into my reality! All while Paxten ran around the house naked as we potty train lol.

There is a woman in the Bible named Jael, whom God used in a pretty awesome way.
All throughout the Old Testament you see the same pattern: Israel messes up; Israel is punished; Israel seeks God; God delivers Israel (usually at the hands of their enemies).
In Judges 4, as this pattern develops yet again, Israel sins against God and so He gives them over to the army commander of the Canaanites, Sisera, for 20 years. •
DID YOU CATCH THAT!?!?...20 YEARS!!! •
FINALLY...they cried out to God for help.
The Israelites begin a battle with the Canaanites under the leadership of Deborah, the judge of Israel.
10,000 Israelites against 900 chariots of iron and numerous men of Canaan.
THEY WERE TOTALLY OUTNUMBERED...
BUT GOD ALREADY PROMISED VICTORY TO THE ISRAELITES....
Sisera ran away scared, believing he had found a place of safety. However, he ran right into the hands of Jael.
Jael ensured Sisera that he was safe and then, while he was sleeping, SHE DROVE A TENT PEG INTO HIS TEMPLE AND KILLED HIM!!!
WHAT A WOMAN!!! I don't know how she even had the strength to overpower him, or if he was such a sound sleeper that he was totally clueless as to what was happening. •
All I know is that Jael did what God had asked her to do. She was nothing special. She had a plan, she executed the plan, and was used to defeat the Canaanites.
What does that mean for me and you? It means that God has a plan and a purpose for YOU.
What will you do for God? What is He asking you to do? How long does God have to wait for you to obey Him?
“Even the best dogs will wander without fences.”
Todd’s oldest brother gave us this analogy recently when he was spiritually encouraging us. Maybe you are like me and you need reminders that we M U S T put (yes intentionally execute action) fences (boundaries//guardrails) around us in our marriage, parenting, friendships, ministry, work life. .
We cannot navigate these aimlessly without having certain non-negotiables - things we absolutely without a doubt WILL DO and things we NO QUESTIONS ASKED will NOT do. .
Without these fences, we find ourselves “following our heart” which is a cheesy way of saying I chose to act on and out of emotions and feelings that so often times are not rooted in truth and the gospel and lead us astray. .
Fences ARE your FRIEND!!
I’m so excited about my friends @lauren_inspires new Book that’s coming soon!! I back it 200% for it with fan the flame 🔥 of faith in so many women’s hearts 💕!!!! Step forward in courage my friend, it is where faith grows!!!! Faith is not the absence of fear but the presence of courage ♥️🙌🏼 #intothedeepbook
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” - Romans 12:2
A kingdom woman is constantly growing and transforming into the woman God has called her to become 💜
Ever feel like obstacles in life are like Hump-Days? Once you get over one there’s another one around the corner. Like Hump-Days there’ll always be obstacles in our lives. Christ said, “In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33b
James tells us that when we encounter various trials we're to consider it all joy. He says we know that the testing of our faith produces endurance. And we’re to let endurance have its perfect result so we may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But...go to link in profile to read the rest of this week's Wednesday Work Blog. .

God is BiGGer than ALL of it
Soooo much worry has been weighing me down lately. Yes. As I’ve toured around this gorgeous country-my mind is half on all the situations that I have yet to sort out. 😥As I wandered around the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront yesterday; I saw tourists literally dripping in diamonds 💎 and opulence from other places. As I pondered them ; and the gorgeous waterfront buildings and all the gift 🎁 shops all around me-I became overwhelmed with my thoughts.
Then; I walked outside into the cool, night air and Table Mountain ⛰ literally loomed over the scenery. Bigger than our buildings-jewelry-bigger than our problems.
Suddenly, my breath was taken away-as I realized that mountain symbolized God and His ultimate majesty. No matter what we are going through. No matter how bad the circumstances may seem; the Lord is bigger than ALL of it. He promises us peace. And even if mountains were to⛰ fall; God is still standing.
No matter, what trouble we face-God knows how to handle it. But we have to let him. That’s the hard part. But it’s also the best part.
. “Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 4:6-7 TPT
Scenario: You're hurting because he walked away. You're mad about how it went down and now it's over. You thought he'd be in your life forever and now he's gone. He was supposed to be the one.
NEWSFLASH!!! He wasn't supposed to stay because he was NEVER yours. He was NEVER the one from the beginning. He wasn't yours to keep. He was only there for a season. And that's ok.
Every relationship (plutonic or romantic) is a learning experience. You learn and then you grow. A breakup is not the end of the world but an opportunity to grow. And you'll take all that you've learned and apply it to the next relationship. See? He gave you a gift. He taught you to be BETTER for the next guy. The next guy (if he's the right guy) will appreciate your growth and grow with you.
No matter what you're going through, use EVERY experience to grow. Choose your next mate wisely and listen to the signs that your gut warns you about. Choose better because of what you've learned from your past. And if he walks away....then he's not yours to keep. Move on and try again. #purposemate#purpose#choosewisely

We all have a purpose and a reason for being on this earth, and God has great things planned for you. I feel like sometimes we get trapped feeling like life isn’t going to change, and we’re stuck. But that is not true!
Our lives tell a story, full of different chapters, and each season molds and shapes you for the next adventure.
Instead of fighting the season that you’re in, ride it out! Bare under it, embrace it, and learn from it. Grow and gain knowledge and wisdom. You never know the impact your testimony will have on somebody, later in life.
You are bold, strong, and vibrant. Allow God to work in your life and impact you in mighty ways!
