I had hoped my spinningwheel would be home by now, so I could spin these beauties on my first wheel... but no, still no peep of the whereabouts of the wheel. Will I get it this year? Nobody knows.
But enough gloom and disappointment: colors!
@Woolwisp is, at the moment, my favorite dyer because she produces stunning colorgradations in her rovings. I love how bright and intense they are. Having these braids here on my desk makes me so happy! Spinning them is a treat (as I know from previous experience). I'm going to create a long gradient by creating rolags by color and spinning them in order (just as I did before). This is very satisfying to spin and it looks gorgeous on my spindle.
I choose four braids that pair two by two, so I can either 2-ply them (therefore: spinninghweel), or knit them alternatingly. These colorways are Bubble (BFL 21 micron) and Veil (BFL 21 micron). Tomorrow I'll show the second pair.
Poinsettias = holiday yay or nay? Red or white? I’m currently trying to keep this one alive for the rest of December. How’s your holiday season going? Got those greeting cards ready? Check out the link in my profile, there’s still time to order and free shipping! <><><>
