I think it’s an understatement to say we have been blessed with an amazing and supportive preschool for Jacob. It truly takes a village... parents, teachers, aides and administration who support and love each child in that classroom. And Jacob is loved. Hard. And he loves hard in return.
Today Jacob had a play date after school with one of his buddies. This sweet little girl told her mom “Jacob is my best buddy.” “Buddy” is her word for friends who are boys. The two laughed and played together for hours. Running around, climbing in tents, racing cars down tracks, and laughing. Beautiful. Infectious. Laughter. They were adventure seekers, imagination climbers, and 💯 kind. A true friendship they have. My heart is full. Too full for words. Because words don’t do justice or capture their friendship...

Council is co-ordinating a combined Open Day for all participating preschools in Nillumbik on Saturday 23 February from 10am-1pm. This lets the preschools promote themselves, and lets families visit them to help with their decision making when applying.

Our kids love to build so we’ve been investing in some interesting materials to add to the collection. This rainbow set by Grimm’s was a birthday gift from the grandparents and it’s been getting lots of love. It’s sturdy, open-ended and incredibly pretty. 🌈
This little dude turns 3 in a few weeks, which means he can start preschool soon! As a stay at home mama this both excites me (I get some me time!? 🙌😍) and makes me super emotional and sad.
I started looking up preschools online and became immediately overwhelmed. I literally have no idea what type of schools are good, when you enroll your kiddos, etc.
So veteran preschool parent friends, give me all of the deets on preschool!
In partnership with @leanandgreenkids we are learning about #oranges this month. Today we got to taste, touch and feel with edible sensory play. Water, popcorn, dry snack foods, kitchen utensils. More of this and mud pies in our stories. Yummy yummy fun! #ediblesensoryplay#playallday
Self portraits are always a great ‘first week of school’ activity as they help to foster a sense of belonging in the classroom 🎨 These are some of the portraits we did last year 🌈 We used @micador watercolour paints for our backgrounds and then drew a picture of ourselves and wrote our name in black pen 🎨 This activity is also a great way to see some of the skills your students have as well 👍 #backtoschool#micador
