It’s never too late to decide to change.
At age 65, all he owned was a tiny house and beat up car.
He was living off of $99 social security checks. It’s wasn’t good.
But he decided things had to change, so he thought “What do I have to offer to the world?” He recalled how his friends all raved about one of his recipes. “This may be my best shot at making a change,” he thought.
He left home and traveled to across the US to try selling his recipe.
He offered his recipe to restaurant owners for free, only asking for a small percentage on the items sold in return.
However, he heard “NO” 1,009 times.
But that didn’t stop him. He didn’t give up.
He believed his recipe was something special.
After 1,009 rejections, he finally got a “yes.” With that one success, Hartland Sanders changed the way Americans ate chicken.
Hartland’s recipe of 11 herbs and spices soon become the famous recipe for Kentucky Fried Chicken, he became Colonel Sanders, and the way American's eat chicken changed.
It’s never too late to decide to change. It’s never too late to chase your dreams. Never give up.
tap yes if you won't give up 💪

When I was a kid, I thought I would just figure stuff out, you know, and become something, and that would be it, that would be my life.
Thank God that isn’t the way, not for me anyway.
I think that I, we, just have to keep becoming. We change and grow. We are molded by love and trips around the sun.
It takes a long time to build a soul. We get older, maybe wiser (even better, we gain a little grace) but we don’t finish - we don’t have to - we begin, and be, and begin again.
I think that’s the gift of living… Enjoy being alive! ~ jodi hills
It feels like yesterday that @garywfoto snapped this shot of me at the Paramount Ranch. I heard that it burned down due to the wildfires. I’m so sad to hear this news. I loved that place as I know so many others did ❤️We miss you already, Paramount Ranch!
