The GE ‘Ideas Are Scary’ commercial is several years old but I still love it. Seeing people be mean to that sad muppet can still bring tears to my eyes. That commercial shows us that ideas are born ugly and messy. They frighten us. As entrepreneurs we are all filled with ideas that are at times ugly and messy but they become these beautiful things when we nurture them. If we are frightened at times then we aren’t pushing ourselves hard enough! Think big! Dream big! #ideas#dreambig#dreambigger#motivation#enterpreneur#hustle#acaligirlinmn#girlboss#lifestyleblogger
Hello babes! Thanks for joining me. Let me share a bit about myself. I love thrift shopping! I enjoy the rush of digging through other people's "junk" and finding what I consider treasures. My favorites are unique items and anything I feel that has a history that I can relate to. I also love a good clearance rack and that's the place I usually head towards first. From grocery stores to clothing stores, hobby stores to second hand stores, from tjmaxx to walgreens, and let me tell ya... garage sales and FB markets are my bestfriends! I decided to finally take this passion of mine and try and turn it into some extra cash part time. Bare with me as I go through my personal closet and try and fill my poshmark closet. I'm not sure what I'll be posting on this IG account, but I know it will have to do with awesome finds, things I'll be listing, maybe some outfit ideas... I don't know, so much is running around in this head of mine and I'm excited to get creative on here. If you have any tips for this newbie trying to sell for the first time on poshmark after six years of buying from there, shoot them my way please! I'm willing to learn and I'm not scared of failing. I'm ready to have fun on here and also on poshmark! Lets connect. Oh, and if you don't have a poshmark yet, it's easy to get the app. Also, feel free to use my code SOURITA_REYES for 5$ off! #poshboss#poshmark#empirebuilding#resale#resaleshop#thriftlife#shopmycloset#fashionista#resellercommunity
Do you struggle selling Levi's? This might be why! On the left I have tags from the original Levi's brand. On the right I have Levi's from their sub brand called "Levi Strauss & Co," which is a lot cheaper new and less likely to sell. I tend to only pick up the regular Levi's tag for reselling!
Who remembers our awesome MERMAID themed summer line? Well this amazing scrub came out and it was pulled quickly because some weren't as scrubby as we like and didn't meat standards...i got lucky to snag one! Well the most amazing scent is back in a non greasy TSA approved hand creme. The scent is juicy melon and coconut. Made with apricot kernel oil so its non greasy. When I say that.. If you look at the last couple pictures I grabbed my can of bang right after applying that small amount that more than covered my hands and it left NO GREASY marks and wasn't slippery. I don't know about you, but I prefer being able to open a door and hold things after applying hand creme and them not falling out of my hands.
New items from last weekends haul going up finally!☺️ And TODAY is the day!! FINALLY have been able to revamp my photos & this light just makes the perfect day to rephotograph✨📷 I currently have Friday’s off. I can only do @poshmark part-time so I’ve been trying to set a schedule for myself so Friday’s are for photographing and setting up flat lays! Then I can source for the weekend 😊😊👍🏽 If you followed my story last night I was able to finally find the perfect 🌿 for my flat lay photos and I’m super excited to share it with you all! Have you been able to find what works perfectly for your photos? That feeling & pressure it takes off after 😅 But honestly I’m so happy I didn’t rush the process in finding what works for me.
In an effort to keep costs down and use the free USPS padded envelopes more often vs printed polymailers (that will forever have my heart!), I wanted to try stamping some cute designs on them! I'm happy with how they turned out, but now I just need to get some permanent ink instead of the kiddie washable kind that doesn't quite dry 100% 😂 It works on the boxes though!
already sold... still dreaming about this Oscar de la Renta 2 piece set!

Shellys London | Retro Rainbow Sandal | size 37 | $20
These beauties were originally $95 and unfortunately, when I removed the sticker from the foot bed, it tore part of the foot bad off. You cannot see it when on, though.
The case of the lowballer. $5 offer on a $100 purse. We have all been there, and here is why instead of blocking & declining, I will always make a counter offer. ♡
Everyone LOVES a good deal. That's why I don't take lowball offers too seriously. Some buyers are just testing the waters to see how much you are willing to budge. •
If someone offered you a ridiculous offer, instead of blocking the user and declining, try to counter. Yes, sometimes it is a constant back and forth where the buyer will only move $1 or $2, but I have had experiences in which I offer my lowest and they have accepted.
I have even had lowballers come back a few days later and offer my last offer to them. When you decline and block, you're not allowing room for negotiation and who knows if the same person will come back and outright purchase the item eventually?! (I have also had this happen to me)
All in all, I think it's important to not get upset, but instead standing firm in whatever price you believe your item to sell for and see what happens.
Why block or decline when it could be a future buyer!?
(Be prepared to possibly get your counter declined, or not responded to...but that is also ok! Remember that someone will always end up buying your item❤) #poshmark#poshmarkseller#poshboss#poshmoms#poshlove#thrift#thriftshop#reseller#thrifter#resellercommunity#sale#fashion#shopping#opinion#counteroffer#lowballoffer#lowballers#buyers#sellers
Finally got around to photographing & measuring that stack of jeans I showed you guys earlier! Ya girl found her first pair of Rag & Bone & Mother Jeans at the bins the other week! 😊 First pic are Jeans I picked up at the bins and second pic are the jeans I picked up at a regular goodwill. 👖
Funny story, I used to hate going through the jeans aisle at the thrift because I had NO IDEA what I was looking for, but I’m grateful for this community that has taught me so much about brands. It’s now my FAVORITE aisle to go through. ❤️ #poshandhustle#poshboss#poshmark#poshmarkseller#poshmarkcloset#girlboss#resellercommunity#poshmarksales#reseller#poshmarklove
I have about 550 items for sale right now. To some people that might seem like a lot to keep track of (I’m trying to get up to 800 items in the next few months!) but it’s actually pretty easy. Here’s my process:
📌I keep track of my merchandise from the moment it arrives home. I use an excel spreadsheet to write a short description of every single individual item. I like to put specific details about the item that will be easy to search for later on (ex: J. Crew silk peplum blouse). I don’t photograph or measure or list until it’s on my spreadsheet! I also put the date I brought the items home, count how many items I sourced, and calculate the average cost of each item.
📍Next to the description there is a column called “Tote” - once the item is ready to be inventoried and stored away, I just find empty space in one of my tote bins, fold the item, and put it in! That’s it. I don’t put it into a plastic bag before storing it. (No hate! I know this is popular. I do sometimes need to re-fold or even re-steam the item again before shipping it, but I like not using excess plastic. It also gives me an opportunity to do one last look-over). I then go back to my spreadsheet and update it with the appropriate tote bin number. When the item sells, I update that column to say “SOLD”!
📦 When it’s time to find and pack an item that has sold, I do a “ctrl-F” look-up on my spreadsheet. This is where a specific detail comes in handy, ie: peplum - I just search by “peplum” and I can quickly locate the item and the tote bin that it’s in! It’s so easy!
This has been my process since I started selling and it’s worked really well for me. I don’t store things by brand or category, I basically just try and optimize the space in the tote bins as best as possible. I do everything in steps so it’s easy to remember to record everything - I haven’t lost an item yet!
So tell me: how do YOU keep organized!?
