Isn’t it gorgeous out there today? Well, tomorrow is going to be a redo, weather-wise. Come out and paint with us at the park! We’re excited to join the elves at @bobbakermarionettes to celebrate Bob Baker Day. Plenty to paint in the park and around it.

So, here I am (from s couple years ago when I was into short hair) holding up a color wheel. I found it and it brought a jolt of color to my senses... I’m sharing because maybe you need some color in your life too during the dreary month of February! Isn’t it amazing how color affects our lives and influences our emotions? As an artist we choose our palette and soon certain colors become our “go to” favorites. Whether working in oil, watercolor, acrylic or fibers, I’ve learned a basic limited palette pulls my work together and my colors are much richer because I mix them. I love trying different brands of paints and colors as well. I was introduced to Michael Harding paints last year at the Plein air convention in Santa Fe, snd learned a little about the way they are made... so fascinating! They were so rich and lush that I had to have a few tubes to bring home. I especially loved the green gold as my Tennessee Landscape calls for it. I love Gamblin colors and have tried a few colors In Rembrandt as well. Blue Ridge hand made near where I live, located in Asheville has an amazing Ultramarine Blue and Williamsburg Paints offers a Prussian Blue that is a dream. Using color is so much fun snd it takes a lifetime to learn. ... so I am making a few goals with color.... I will spend a whole painting session just mixing color using a limited palette in paint colors I’ve never tried as a limited palette and then paint a landscape with them! I think I will begin with a set of Michael Harding colors I bought : burnt sienna,Thalo Blue Lake, Indian Yellow Red shade, and Quinacridone Rose. They remind me of the colors of the Southwest. I promise an update.... What are your favorite brands and colors? Please share! .

В это сложно поверить, но при плюсовых 12°С я дрожала как осенний лист. Все ж сделала пару фото промежуточных❤️ I got frozen today. 12°C here in Basque coast of Atlantic Ocean look like Russian winter😄
