Tenho descuidado muito da minha alimentação nas últimas semanas. Quem pensa que com a cirurgia #bariatrica vai simplesmente acontecer um milagre e que as coisas vão ser super fáceis pode ir tirando o cavalinho de chuva. Com o passar do tempo comer torna-se mais fácil, se a vontade de comer não for trabalhada não tem jeito, as coisas desandam... Pra mim não está sendo fácil manter a perda de peso, isso porque eu venho abrindo várias excessões e tenho comido uma bobeirinha aqui e outra ali. Mas agora vou voltar pra linha, vou voltar com o hábito de cozinhar, o hábito de curtir o alimento e apreciar esse momento que é o de comer. Nooossa, comer é bom demais, vamos investir na qualidade e não na quantidade!
I’m very truthful in my journey. I share and celebrate when I lose weight and today I’m sharing when the scale didn’t reflect my effort. So just like when this happens to my clients I have to reflect. Did I follow my meal plan perfectly, did I get all my workouts in, did I push hard in all six days of my cardio? If the answer is yes than I’m a success. I then look for non-scale victories. I had several this month! 1st, I hate the stairclimber, it’s hard, my legs burn, and I don’t like heights or anything moving under my feet. So I’ve avoided it. I love the elliptical, I can pounds away for long over an hour (I started at 5 minutes). But I also love a challenge and am a sucker for showing honor and pushing hard for someone else. So, when the 9/11 stair challenge was pit out there I accepted without thinking. After climbing all those flights of stairs I realized that’s what my body needed. It had gotten used to the elliptical and it needed a new challenge. I’ve done the stairclimber for almost all of my cardio since. 2nd- when I first started lifting weights I did group fitness classes. If I ever lifted out in the gym I waited until hardly anyone was there. I didn’t feel like I belonged with the “real” bodybuilders. If any of those guys were lifting I’d just skip or find a corner. A couple days ago, I was resting in between sets and looked up in the mirror. I was surround by extremely fit hard working bodybuilders. I realized, I wasn’t intimidated, I knew what I was doing, I did belong (and so do you!). 3rd- I purposely bought a pair of jeans that were to small about a month ago. I’ve tried them on each week and this week they fit. The scale didn’t move but last week they didn’t fit and this week they do. I’m officially down eight pants sizes! Lastly, I ate on plan every single day (ask those closest to me, not even a mint or piece of gum goes in my mouth if it’s not cheat day, I lifted heavier than last week, and I did high intensity cardio 6 days a week. The work canteen have started doing a vegan option every day this term so since it’s Friday I thought I’d treat myself. Today it was Katsu curry 👌🏻
@icelandfoods no chic fillets with a bit of @violife_foods cheese and @tescofood free from mayo. These burgers are so strange. If I hadn’t cooked it myself I would have been convinced someone was trying to feed me meat. I had the no bull balls the other day with pasta and they were even more convincing.
And here we are! The last meal of my last day of my nutrition reboot! It definitely disrupted the carb and sugar food-pattern I was in, and I’m so glad I’m able to move on now!
This spinach salad was huge!
- 2 cups of spinach
- half of a red pepper, chopped
- half of a full cucumber 🥒, chopped
- half of a tomato 🍅, chopped
- sprinkled some roasted sesame seeds on top
- made my own quick salad dressing of extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, and some random herbs and spices.
I’m so glad I did this! I’m looking forward to getting back to my workouts! New round of the program starts on Monday, September 17th!😊💪

Here is a dish we made while visiting @rocky_vega to see her perform in Hair at @gevatheatre the other day! It was amazing and if you live close we highly recommend checking out the show! The dish was a brown rice with Indian spiced beans and veggies surrounded by lettuce! Super simple but tasty meal 😍

Managing Instagram whilst traveling, whilst exploring, whilst meeting people, whilst managing visas, whilst calling family, whilst living in different time zones is definitely something I still have to get used to 😅🙊 and my account will probably shift a little bit content wise. Yes I still will post food related content and recipes (don’t worry) but there will be a lot more travel content as well. It’s difficult to post food photos since I don’t have access to a well equipped kitchen and my food is on the more plain and unexciting side letale. I hope you don’t mind ☺️✈️ and whilst we are on the topic of change: yesterday was the first day with a bit of home sickness. I drove around the whole day with two guy friends I met here and for which I am already really freaking grateful for 🙏🏻 but as soon as I got home and was exhausted and tired I started missing home. But the good news is: after a night asleep the home sickness was gone and New excitement started to rise 🤓 tomorrow I booked a two day trip to Nusa Penida (one of the supposedly most beautiful islands around here) and I cannot wait to explore more tomorrow 😍 this picture here was taken in Ubud. The rice terraces blew me away with their lush green and I kinda felt like a jungle princess 👸🏼🌴 Much love

Plant powered lunch 🌱💪 My Veggie Stew has red spinach, tomatoes, tofu, macaroni and lots of pepper, sesame and seaweed sprinkles. Dessert is a bowl of blueberries for my sweet tooth. 😋 I thought that going vegan would mean ‘giving up’ a lot of food; in fact I’m tasting and experimenting with more foods that I’ve never otherwise eaten when I was consuming the flesh of animals. Opening my mind by getting creative with food and it has never been more exciting. 🙌 #plantpower#animalsarefriendsnotfood
