I remember when I first tried to do these and how impossible they felt. It's really amazing how our bodies adapt over time. If anything, I have learnt that it's not about trying to do and be everything now. I found myself having a great relationship with exercise for the first time in my whole life over the past 2 years because I used to be a "binge-exerciser" and would go full ON only to soon thereafter be full OFF!.
Now, I enjoy exercise and my relationship with it is kind, supportive and understanding. 🤗 What I mean by this is that I simply show up and depending on how I am feeling I adjust the intensity and my level of input accordingly. Some days I have more energy than others and I can feel it and increase the intensity and some days I don't (not great sleep, that time of the month, etc) and that's totally normal!! Who is with me here?.
I love myself for all of the different days I show up and even if I don't show up! I want you to too babe. It's what we do MOST of the time with consistency that counts and we need to give ourselves some wiggle room and feel GOOD about the choices we make, even if it is to REST for the day, it's all okay. x 💓 Happy hump day beauties with loads of love!!! 😘

With baking, you need measurements and precision for the perfect textured and flavored treats. But as for cooking, I've always liked throwing things together, not really thinking about particular recipes, but incorporating flavors to make a great meal. I finally learned the difference between #basmati & #jasmine rice, which made a difference because I Love the sticky texture of Jasmine rice. This is a stir fry with the teriyaki sauce I made a couple of weeks ago with toasted sesame oil, chick'n (substitute for chicken, onions, garlic, pineapple, arugula, kale, & spinach on a bed of jasmine rice. Added the greens last minute to maintain their texture as much as I could. I added the red chili flakes in it as well as on top because I didn't buy any red peppers, and I just wanted some color contrast LOL!! 😊❤🌿🍽

Pasta & Chick Peas. This delightful meal is easy for mid week. Cook down the chickpeas in a little water with a drizzle of oil, 5 crushed garlic cloves and a couple bay leaves. I broke up some rice & quinoa spaghetti into short pieces and cooked that separately. I also steamed some broccoli. Drain the pasta but keep the water from the chick peas and combine it all. it’s never too late to share a little #toasttuesday action right?! ✨💕 a little story behind this one: last week I was having MEGA bread cravings. I don’t really buy bread anymore which I think is just a bad habit I used to be stuck in (ie stilly thoughts around carbs and bread are bad) which let’s be honest this is so not the case! Good quality fresh baked bread is A OK 👌🏼 not only that it is a food that brings me sooo much joy! I totally get bread doesn’t work for everyone and that’s cool too, it’s all about bio individuality, you do what works for you!But for me it’s one of those foods I just love and could eat any day so why the heck am I depriving myself of that kind of love?!
So anyway, last week I finally made a mission to @wholefoods for the sole purpose of getting myself a delish fresh baked bread! This one is a sourdough packed with seeds and dates! Topped it off with 🥑 & pickled red onion, as well as a @vitalfarms egg cooked in ghee & of course, some black pepper, Himalayan salt, and red chili flakes 👐🏼

It honestly feels like my whole life has lead up to the weekend that was. We had no idea what to expect, or what this festival was all about, and were overwhelmed with such joy and gratitude to learn that this was exactly what we had been searching for. Culture, music, people coming together to celebrate themselves and each other! I don’t think I’ve ever been around SO MUCH LOVE! You could seriously feel it. So much so it had so many people breaking down in happy tears.
5,000 like minded individuals given freedom and responsibility, using it wisely! Not once did we have a bad encounter or see any negative interactions! The whole of Ivory’s Rock was filled with LOVE. Because that’s what Humans are, our souls are divine LOVE 💚
Had my phone on airplane mode all weekend, didn’t even get any pictures, but what an amazing experience it was! The most I’ve ever walked around barefoot 😂 (my feet are so sore lol), to everyone wearing whatever the fuck they want, or not wearing anything at all! Being in nature where time doesn’t really exist. Surrounded by magical fairies, pixies, and multiple encounters with angels I truly believe were put there to meet and connect with me! I really felt like I had found my people and I was Home.
Sending so much love to all the new and old friends who we connected with here. @earth_frequency 2019 was fully siiiick bruh! Grateful for the mems. P.s how sick is my face paint? This had everyone trippin 😂👌🏽🙌🏽

Sometimes when I shop at Grocery stores and I see their prepared foods section, I’m heavily tempted. Just because I’m a chef doesn’t exclude me from being righttttt there with you on those days where you just don’t feel like cooking. Luckily, burgers- regardless of what you make them out of- are suchhhh an easy dinner option and great for next day meals or meal prep as well. These salmon burgers are delicious, easy, full of real ingredients, and best of all have you able to kick your feet up with food in hand in no time☺️
•12 oz raw wild-caught salmon, torn up (can use a food processor for this)• 1 lemon, juiced • 1 shallot, minced• 1 tbs onion salt• 2 garlic cloves, minced • 1 Tbs fresh dill • 1 tsp paprika • 2 tbs chives, minced • 2 tbs parsley, minced• 2 tsp Dijon mustard • 1/2 tsp salt • 1/4 cup almond or coconut flour • 1 Tbs avocado oil • optional toppings shown here: avocado mash, balsamic onions, pickled onions, plated on top roasted garlic cauliflower mash🤤
••• Preheat Oven to 375. Toss everything in a bowl or food processor and mix until combined. Form the mixture into patties of your size choice. Place on a baking tray with parchment paper, drizzle with avocado oil and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown (you can flip them halfway through if you’d like crisp on both sides) . To cook on the stove instead: drizzle avocado oil into a sauté pan and set to medium/ medium-high heat, one hot place salmon burgers in saute pan and cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side until golden and crispy! Enjoyyyyy!☺️

My favourite place in the whole house 👼🏼 43+ plants in total!! I love plants in my room as they are great air purifiers and make you feel like you are in the jungle!
Some examples of the plants in my room are 2 Monstera, 2 ivy, 2 fiddle leaf and lots of succulents and 1 cactus 🌵 plus dozens more 🤭

5 Spice Burger by @epivegan 💛 Recipe:⠀
1cm thick block of firm tofu ⠀
2 teaspoons of rice flour ⠀
1 teaspoon of 5 spice ⠀
1/2 a peach in 4 slices ⠀
1/2 spring onion roughly chopped ⠀
1 teaspoon vegan mayo ⠀
2 teaspoons hoisin sauce ⠀
1 slice of lime ⠀
1 bun sliced⠀
3 table spoons of vegetable oil⠀
How To Make:⠀
Heat the oil in the pan. Take your square of tofu and coat it in the rice flour and 5 spice. When the oil is smoking hot carefully place the tofu in the pan. Allow to go golden brown on each side and turn. Add the slices of peach in the pan and cook for 30 either side. Spread the base bun with mayo, place the tofu on top, add the slices of peach and spring onion on top and drizzle with hoisin sauce and lime juice. Sprinkle with salt, Place the bun on top enjoy! Pizza counts as Toast Tuesday, right?! ✨ I had this pizza with dough from @dough.bakeshop, tomato sauce, caramelized mushrooms + onion, kalamata olives and arugula and nutritional yeast 🌿 .
I’m a firm believer that no foods are “good” or “bad”- although some foods may nourish the body and others may nourish the soul, it’s so important to just truly listen to what our bodies are asking for each day 💛
