I always keep inspire myself to do better and be better (with a little hope, not just for myself) aided by some people that boost my morale and sanity.
Thank you so much🙏🏻
I realised that every action and word comes from me to direct and lasting changes throughout my own life but I hope someday, I can create a small but powerful change in someone’s life.
Above all, I’ll always try to be kind to everyone despite of how others treat me.
As I post this, my last batch of jerky is drying, and I am realizing that my 2018 big game hunting season is coming to a close. This has me thinking. I believe heading out in pursuit of an animal parallels life and many goals in life. There’s a process to it all, sometimes coming easy, sometimes hard, sometimes not at all. Spot and stalk archery hunting creates character, instills patience, increases self awareness, and influences decision making among many others, despite rarely resulting in success. I often think about how many deer I “could have shot if I was rifle hunting” but this is where we revert back to paralleling life. Sometimes you are given what you think you need (in my case a rifle), and sometimes you are given a bow. It is what you make of it. If you are given something that creates the opportunity to work harder to reach your goal, then you work harder or don’t reach your goal. In my opinion, I would rather have a bow. Walking up to something you have been after all year, or many years is rewarding. The days spent, and miles covered have incredible value and suddenly seem even more worth it. The knowledge, experiences, and sights and sounds along the way are invaluable to me. Some people dare to ask or even worse try and answer why they hunt. I don’t know why I am hunting; if I think about it it only raises more questions. Hunting, specifically archery hunting is special to me, and is a large part of who I am. I am very green in my hunting experience but very thankful for the opportunities that have arisen and the ones I have worked for. It’s all worth it to me, like anything else in life. Sometimes you are given what you think you need, but usually you are given exactly what you need. Whatever you’re after, give it everything you have and make the most of it. •
