This was a fun night when Mae and I were the English MC’s together to announce the various floats the the Sweet Tamarind festival parade. It was quite hectic but in the end a very good experience #1940style#phetchabun#metropolitan#translation....
And we’re back on the road again! Yesterday was spent hiking in the mountains of Thailand in the province of Phetchabun. Phetchabun is free from Westerners and had the authenticity I craved. I also had the pleasure of spending time with some of the local Hmong people. Many of them did not have electricity or running water, yet were some of the happiest people I’ve ever met. Next we headed to the home of our host family, who happened to be a Thai ambassador, and granted us with a private tour of Wat Pha Sorn Kaew by the head monk. Last, I woke at 4am with the help of the resident rooster to catch the sunrise at the top of the mountain, which sits above the clouds. Needless to say, I’m on CLOUD nine. 😜 #phetchabun#thailand#southeastasia#watphasornkaew#nomad#wanderlust#traveldiaries
Sometimes all you need is a little splash of color orrr in this case a big splash of color! 🤗 🌈🌟
Meanwhile in real life, I’m still getting over this food poisoning event, BUT I think I’m on the up and up so 🤞new Hanoi pics and posts sooonn! Reminiscing about Thailand makes me happy though😊
Where in the world do you happily reminisce about? #milesofsmilestravel#travelingsmiles
