Let your alignment (with Well-Being) be first and foremost, and let everything else be secondary. And not only will you have an eternally joyous journey, but everything you have ever imagined will flow effortlessly into your experience. There is nothing you cannot be or do or have—but your dominant intent is to be joyful. The doing and the having will come into alignment once you get that one down.” – Esther Hicks

We're going to be adding some new equipment soon. We are officially bringing our board assembly (SMT and wiring) in house! We've had circuit boards and other electronic assemblies made in China for years and now it's all going to be done in Orange County! This one is just a small demonstrator unit. The actual machine is going to be about four times the size and a hell of a lot faster.

THE MELANCHOLIA OF A STROLL “When there is really nothing left to do or believe, except to remember, walking helps retrieve the absolute simplicity of presence, beyond all hope, before any expectation.” - Frédéric Gros, A Philosophy of Walking
Walking often comes with purpose, with intent – you do so to get from point A to point B; you leave, and you arrive. It is the oldest form of transportation and the genesis of travels. Over time, we get drunk over the purpose and drown in our intent, as we slowly grow unaware of the act. We are reminded only momentarily by tiredness and strains, and we begin to take walking for granted little by little, as it slips into the subconscious as time goes
The Melancholia of a Stroll is an interactive sound installation where visitors take a simple,
unprecipitated stroll within the installation, allowing them to saunter a conversation with
space and/or with strangers, through the translation of walking in an empty space into melancholic musical motives. By highlighting and associating emotions to walking, the installation brings this simple act into lucid consciousness, as it ponders upon the metaphysics of walking.
By allowing the visitors to alter and compose music real-time in space, the
installation encourages participation and interaction, bestowing the visitors the role of “composers”. In doing so, it enables and empowers visitors with the ability to shape and author the content of the sound installation by simply performing the act of walking, thereby closing the rift between art and people.
The Melancholia of a Stroll is merely an empty canvas in space, its paint strokes determined by visitors who come in contact with it. Thus, the relationship between the artwork and its viewers becomes interdependent and can only exist through a collective effort.
