Hey kids! Don't miss our next Mud-day Morning in the Garden program coming up tomorrow, July 22, from 10 - 11:30 AM in the Children's Conservatory at Allan Gardens! 🐞 🌈 🦋
Drop by to water our vegetable garden and see what's growing, play in the mud kitchen, hear garden stories, make crafts and learn about nature in the park.
Activities are best suited to ages 2 - 8, but younger and older siblings are welcome too! Parent or caregiver supervision is required.
A donation of $2-5 per child is greatly appreciated! All donations directly support delivery of the Mud-Day Mornings in the Garden program.

There’s just something about waking up early to see a place before anyone gets there. It makes your visit more rewarding, creating a much more unique experience compared to having hundreds or thousands of people at the same spot. It sounds selfish but I’d rather have something this beautiful in front of me in its natural look than be surrounded by a lot of selfie sticks, people fighting for position to get a photo, kids running around screaming and so forth. I’d like to also add that I have nothing against selfie sticks, people or kids.. I think everyone should experience different parts of the world in its original state and I don’t know where I’m going with this but you know what I mean. I don’t need to explain myself 😆
Do you have a favourite place that you woke up ridiculously early for? If so, where was it?!
#Banff takeover - sharing my favorite photos from my vacation last year. View of Banff Avenue from Cascade Gardens. Swipe left for a view of a historic #parkscanada administration building. Lovely gardens framed by mountains located in the bustling town of Banff #mybanff#travelalberta#explorecanada
I recently listened to Conan O’Brien’s podcast with guest Lin-Manuel Miranda and they both marvelled at being able to write, create things and have a body of work. I feel the same way, amazed when I put words down and tell a story about amazing places, some close to my heart. My story about Cape Breton Island & the Cabot Trail is online, part of The Australian’s Canada travel special. He holds my hand all the way up and down the mountain, makes sure I drink enough water and takes pictures of every squirrel we see.
He talks to every person on the trail, finds the most beautiful spots, and drives all day so I can enjoy the view and watch the animals.
He loves his Chili on top of mountains and I love him more and more every day ♥️ #parkscanada#livefreeordie

@venturingtwo - A month ago, on our way back from Montreal, we stumbled upon this amazing road passing through a series of islands on the St.Lawrence River. We had no idea such a cool place existed. We made a detour right after we saw a billboard of this place along the highway. It's a great place to relax, fish and picnic! It also made the long drive way more enjoyable👍
