Dips are a staple in bodyweight training, but they can get a bad reputation for being tough on the shoulders. Take some stress off the shoulders by assisting the movement with your legs! Whether it’s the top, bottom, or whole range of the movement, you’re able to assist yourself wherever you need it most. There’s no such thing as a bad movement or exercise, just a lack of preparation for it!
Push-ups: If you were only left with 1 pressing movement you could perform for the rest of your life this should be at the top of the list.
Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, Core
Pic #1: one of the most common errors in the bottom part of the push-up. Hips are below shoulders, low back arched
Pic #2: same errors as pic #1 with the addition of some really unhealthy shoulder rotation. Hands spread out too far. Avoid elbows getting out in front of your shoulders.
Pic #3: Neutral (straight) spine. Ankle, hip, shoulder all in a straight line 👌🏻
