What a great card to end the semester—and the year—with! The Five of Cups, is up to the old mischief of the fives, presenting seemingly negative things that have a genuine positive underneath it all. These gritty cards, shaking you up so you can see things more clearly.
So what is this card asking us to see when it walks into our lives? That we have abidance and possibility—and to stop focusing on the negative. In the card, a figure grieves over the loss of three overturned cups, oblivious to the two upright cups behind him and the bridge that will lead him to a cozy home.
When we get tired and overworked, life can look bleak. We stuff happens to shake us up, we can forget all the beauty around us. I talked a lot about that last week with friends and colleagues struggling to stay positive during the onslaught of end-of-term craziness, among other things. This card asks us to recognize that, while we may have gone through something distressing and need to process it, we also need to move on and recognize that we have two upright cups and a cozy home to find sanctuary in. The image literally tells us that the past is “water under the bridge” via the same image in the background of the card.
As we close out there year, it is important to shed the negative debris and make room for the positive insights and celebrations that honor the work and living we’ve done in the last 365 days. Let go of what you can’t fix and look towards the abidance right within your grasp.
Here’s to this week’s installment of #TarotTuesdays, in which I write a 78-word story based on #synchronicity and one of the cards in the 78-card tarot deck.
🌹For those of you that would like a restock of Rose Witch, I am planning on having another small batch available on Thursday as well as a set of cauldron candles I’m currently working on called ‘The Light in the Attic’ which will be ginger & rose scented and will focus on spreading your light within to the world. Although the Yule season typically centers around festiveness, cheer, and spice or forest scents, I am for some reason drawn to warmth and light this go around. That soft glow of a salt lamp, the light that radiates from candle quartz, the soothing balance of rose and vanilla, and the fleeting beauty of the golden hour over the crystalline fields. I was going to try to fight it and offer more seasonal products of my craft, but the light has filled my field of vision and the warmth has spread throughout my veins and I can’t ignore it. I want to curl up in an attic covered with drying roses, surrounded by dripping candles, writing & casting feverishly in front of a fire. And eating cookies. Always eating cookies.
I was talking with my mom last night about how silly we sometimes are when it comes to making things. Like how I want to make a giant macrame curtain for our living room, and once I priced out all the things to make it - not including my time or learning the skills, it would have been cheaper to just support another maker who makes them. Their skill alone would have been worth the price!
So I’ve been guilty of the “oh I could just make that” bug, but please remember that sometimes it’s better for you and the maker to support their craft.
Also friendly reminder if you are going for the “nailed it!” scenario - please remember not to comment on anyones work - tagging people to make it for them or the we could so make that - we have feelings too 🖤
Day 11: silver | Do many shades of gray count? Hahah How about silver linings? 😉 | I had a really great night last night with a friend. I don't laugh often enough anymore but last night - I actually laughed. Still didn't sleep well but I was able to fall asleep before 3 am so that's something. I woke up to the sunshine shining and my coffee hot. I really cannot complain this morning. Optimism at its finest. My day is bound to be incredible. Speak good things into existence. 🖤 I hope all of you fantastic babes have a great day!
Winter Solstice Alter
So many blessings come from my practice and taking the time to build my relationships with the Goddess and the divine elements. Being an adult women and jumping around my house a as if sticking cloves in an apple is the most fun thing in the world is but one of them. My daughter picks up on that energy and so does my husband and it fills our home with so much love. This month friends and family seem to flow into our lives with ease. Every night around suppertime one of them Is on our doorstep asking to join dinner or to simply soak up some love from our household to help them face there own troubles. It's been so consistent I've just been cooking larger meals in anticipation. The winter months are not joyful for everyone. People who are estranged from there own families seem to feel it more deeply with all the holidays coming. So remember if you are feeling blessed this season to reach out to those you love that may be quietly struggling and joyfully drag them into your home for a meal or a hug. It is most rewarding.
As always bless up

Tarot and Oracle decks in rotation for December! What decks are you using this month? I definitely change out decks according to the season, but also toss in ones that attract me, are new or just intrigue me to try out and study! 🌲❄️✨
Decided to break out The Enchanted Map Oracle. It was gifted to me years ago and while I may have taken a look at the cards- the deck didn't really call to me until recently.
In all honesty, I thought it would be just another "love and light" deck with vague new-age symbolism thrown on top of feel good platitudes.
Boy was I wrong. The creator of the deck, Colette Baron-Reid really strove to include a heavy dose of reality; the follies and flaws of human nature that we absolutely can help if we're willing to be honest. She doesn't shy away from themes of selfishness, avarice, or laziness and their roles in making our lives unpleasant.
This makes the positive messages of creativity, gratitude, and fortitude feel all the more sincere and encouraging; great reminders of our inner strength.
The art work is beautiful and the provided booklet is easy to binge-read. The only thing I don't like is how thick the cardstock is which, when combined with gilded edges, can make the cards difficult to shuffle at first.
If you haven't gotten a chance to check out the deck, the cards above we're drawn as a deck interview if sorts. "What do you have to offer/teach those interested in working with you?" It seems this is a deck for pulling individuals out of their preconceived notions about their position in the world. It seeks to offer guidance in breaking away from the anxieties that tend to go along with transition and transformation while ensuring we recognize change is inevitable and necessary.
Well then. Heard it straight from the deck's mouth.
Hope everyone is having a fantastic Tuesday!

Do you ever perform spells naked?
"And as the sign that ye are truly free,
Ye shall be naked in your rites, both men
And women also: this shall last until
The last of your oppressors shall be dead"
The term skyclad is used to refer to ritual nudity. Some Wiccan groups, or Traditions, perform some or all of their rituals skyclad. Whilst nudity and the practice of witchcraft have long been associated in the visual arts, this contemporary ritual nudity is typically attributed to either the influence of Gerald Gardner or to a passage from Aradia, or the Gospel of the witches, and as such is mainly attributed to the Gardenarian and Aradian covens.
Starhawk states in 'Spiral Dance' "The naked body represents truth, the truth that goes deeper than social custom" and "is a sign that a Witch's loyalty is to the truth before any ideology or any comforting illusions. It also symbolises freedom, especially during the times when witchcraft was banned or illegal.
Some witches prefer to be naked during solitary spellwork ~ but many I know these days actually have a ritual robe.
