This is the Peak Design Tech Pouch 2019.
The material on this thing is awesome! Water repels right away and wouldn't stick to the outside fabric at all.
Taken from the PD website: "The 200D recycled nylon canvas shell is weatherproof and aesthetically clean."
Well, not really clean, because depending on how you pack it up, wrinkles will show here and there as seen in my pictures.
The shell is definitely hard, but not as hard as an EVA foam shell, so there is some give to it.
The anchor point for straps on it is different than some reviews out there, because I got the one with a loop on it. Some other reviews stated that the Peak Design anchors can be looped in on a some kind of a riveted hole on the nylon webbing loop, which in my opinion gives a cleaner look to it than the one I got. But that will give out flexibility instead of this regular loop.
Putting on the Peak Design's anchors will give you versatility in the ways you can carry this thing. Use it with Peak Design Leash and carry it messenger / sling style. Use a PD Cuff, or in my case, a paracord cuff combined with a PD Anchor Link and you can carry it security clutch style. Alternately just loop a carabiner on and hook it to your belt.
I also put an keyring to one of the side handle, and it just makes it easier to grab hold of the pouch when I need to take it out from my backpack.
The pass through cable port for charging is definitely going to see a lot of use, so it is great that PD reinforced the stitching around the pass thru hole. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my phone in the pocket as it will squeeze your phone. If you have smaller phone it might be okay tho. I have a Galaxy S9+. That wraps it up from the outside!
All that and we haven't even talked about the inside of it!
