Solo is never really solo.
Sometimes quite the opposite.
Traveling alone opens many doors. I can connect with more people solo, then I ever would with company. Without even trying I become vulnerable and for that reason many people avoid it. But I love the honesty that comes from vulnerability. For me its just one less wall to break through to make that connection with another. And when it really comes down to it, the whole reason why I do what I do, why I’m doing this project at all, why I decided to take this path in life, is so that I can be closer to people and help the world to be a little less afraid.
Hilux :: Great Australian Bight, 2018
Crossing the “Bight” was an incredible journey, including long stretches of dunes and beach travel. I have always loved camping in dunes, and took this aerial image of the guys from @redarc_electronics breaking camp. #overland#overlandjournal

The average temperature in Boston over the last few days has been 7 degrees, factor in wind chill and it drops to about -15. When we took the Jeep wheeling for the day early last July to test the new @falkentire Wildpeaks for the first time, it was 85 degrees.... When does summer come again exactly???
