🐠Great Barrier Reef 🐠
The day I met the cutest, most amazing fish in the whole of the ocean!! Wally is a Maori Wrasse, he is a totally wild fish and lives out on the reef 😍🌊
Usually each reef has its own male Maori Wrasse, but this section of the reef actually has two! 🐠🐠.
As you can see, Wally is almost as big as me and so so friendly! He was literally swimming up and nudging me to stroke him and then basks at the side of the boat waiting for you to get back in the water!! These fish have grown really affectionate towards human visitors to the reef and love the attention! .
The most incredible experience to swim in the middle of the #coralsea hundreds of miles from any land and be greeted by this beautiful guy so full of character! If anyone thinks fish don’t have personalities, go and meet Wally and he will change your mind for sure! He certainly cracked me up!. ::
🌲🌳 One thing I rediscovered while losing all that extra weight was the outdoors. Getting my health back enabled me to enjoy being outside much more than before. I ride my folding bike everywhere on a daily basis, sometimes doing as much as 30 Km per day. I go to many of the beautiful parks Melbourne has to offer, and I expose myself in a safe way to the sunlight! (Remember, vitamin D). ☀️😉 I have yet to get involved in camping, tho! Do you outdoors enough?
Climbing is often seen as a sport of individuals but whether it’s pointing out a good foot hold or taking in the rope before the crux, teamwork is essential at the crag. Superb weekend in the Lake District with this team 👍
It doesn’t look like much of a hill but after a week off with vertigo (like being on a boat all the time... and I get sea sick) from an ear infection this was like a mini Everest. Happy to get a few miles and some hill reps in to finish my week of all-the-rest. Still wobbling around a bit but definitely on the mend, hurrah!
Once upon a time in August, I walked probably the coolest 500m of my life

“Cyclists see considerably more of this beautiful world than any class of citizen. A good bicycle, well applied, will cure most ills this flesh is heir to”
Dr. K. K. Doty
I only started cycling a couple of months ago. I used to run a lot or go to the gym. One thing that makes cycling so special are the landscape and roads you get to explore - I never had that when running not to mention in the gym.
How beautiful is this sunset in the mountains? 😍
