Land of the Human Beings - Orchid Island⠀
Orchid Island is one of the hardest to reach of Taiwan’s offshore islands, and the culture of the Tao indigenous inhabitants has allowed its natural scenery to be preserved. Be it a towering cliffside cave, or dead trees with their strangely shaped trunks and branches, all coexist peacefully with this Aboriginal people and their oceanic culture.⠀
During my time on Orchid Island, I felt the slowness of time and the insignificance of humankind. Perhaps this is the reason that Orchid Island, which battles on amid the surging waves of the Kuroshio Current, is also called the “Land of the Human Beings.”⠀
🔹Lanyu🔹 Lanyu is an island next to Taiwan. We had to take a boat from Kenting➡️Lanyu, then travel with a motor bike on the island. This island is filled with native culture and freely roaming animals! We saw goats and piglets on the street, sea urchin, clown fish, and corals under the ocean. 🐐🐖🐠🐚🌊It's difficult to specify a place for recommendation since we basically went with whatever Lanyu has to offer upon our arrival. We fed goats on our way to hostel, swam at a random lakeside on the way, and went diving with the hostel owner (it was part of the package provided by the hostel we stayed at).
