Two Can Keep A Secret - Karen M McManus 🌟🌟🌟💫/5
I waited very patiently for this to come out, I loved One Of Is Lying and was suoer excited for this...
A perfect town is hiding secrets.
Two teenagers are dead. Two murders unsolved. And a killer who claims to be coming back.
Ellery's never been to Echo Ridge, but she's heard all about it.
It's where her aunt went missing at age sixteen, never to return.
Where a Homecoming Queen's murder five years ago made national news.
And where Ellery now has to live with a grandmother she barely knows, after her failed-actress mother lands in rehab.
Malcolm grew up in the shadow of the Homecoming Queen's death.
His older brother was the prime suspect and left Echo Ridge in disgrace.
His mother's remarriage vaulted them to Echo Ridge's upper crust, but it could all change when mysterious threats around town hint that a killer plans to strike again.
And the return of Malcolm's brother doesn't help matters. But his return is just a coincidence... isn't it?
Ellery and Malcolm both know it's hard to let go when you don't have closure.
Then another girl disappears.
As they race to unravel what happened, they realise every secret has layers in Echo Ridge. The truth might be closer to home than either of them want to believe.
And somebody would kill to keep it hidden.
This was a good book....the storyline was good, the characters all worked in the book, it made me want to know more and there was a couple of twists. However it wasn't amazing. As I said, I love OOUIL and was hoping this would have the same effect but it just didn't for me. I found some of it quite hard going and drawn out, and I feel it didn't hold my attention all the way through. I did like the twists, didn't see them at all and that's what I enjoyed the most 🙂 If you enjoyed OOUIL then this is definitely worth a read!

The Girl Next Door - Phoebe Morgan
I saw this in the supermarket a couple of weeks ago and bought it as it sounded brill...
One little lie just became deadly…
Perfect mother. Perfect wife. Jane Goodwin has spent years building her picture-perfect life in the quiet town of Ashdon.
So when the girl next door, sixteen-year-old Clare Edwards, is found murdered, Jane knows she must first protect her family.
Every marriage has a few white lies and hers is no exception. Jane’s worked hard to cover up her dark secret from all those years ago – and she’ll do anything to keep it hidden…
So I guessed the twist for this book halfway through (hence the 3.5 stars)! I did keep thinking I might be wrong and change my mind but I always went back to it. However, it didn't take away from the excitement of reading it....just the ending - although that was done well and there was a bit of a twist that I didn't see!! I liked reading all the different parts from the different characters as it added another layer to the story, they all had great points and awful points!! This was a quick read that I enjoyed and would recommend to all my thriller friends out there 💕

A Curse So Dark And Lonely - Brigid Kemmerer
I've had this book since launch and kept meaning to read it....I love a Beauty and the Beast retelling 😍
Fall in love, break the curse.
Break the curse, save the kingdom.
Prince Rhen, the heir to Emberfall, is cursed. Forced to repeat the autumn of his eighteenth year over and over, he can only be freed by love. But at the end of each autumn he is transformed into a beast hell-bent on destruction, and after so many failed attempts, his kingdom and its people are barely holding on.
Harper's life has never been easy, but she's learned to be tough enough to survive. She won't let anything hold her back, not her cerebral palsy or her mother's deteriorating health. But when she is sucked into Rhen's world, nothing is as it seems. Powerful forces are standing against Emberfalll ... and it will take more than a broken curse to save it from utter ruin.
I love love love this book ❤ Brigid Kemmerer is a genuis....a classic being retold in a new and up to date way! I absolutely got hooked and fell in love with Harper and Rhen...and Grey! The book is sometimes funny, sometimes a bit emotional and always brilliant....if you like Beauty and The Beast....or a disney retelling then this is for you!! 100% amazing....bring on book 2 ❤

On My Life - Angela Clarke
I received a review copy of this book from Angela....how lucky am I?! I was so excited when I heard she had a new book coming out, slightly sad when I found out it wasn't part of the Social Murder series but was looking forward to seeing the next chapter of her author career 💜
Framed. Imprisoned. Pregnant.
Jenna thought she had the perfect life: a loving fiancé, a great job, a beautiful home. Then she finds her stepdaughter murdered; her partner missing.
And the police think she did it...
Locked up to await trial, surrounded by prisoners who'd hurt her if they knew what she's accused of, certain someone close to her has framed her, Jenna knows what she needs to do:
Clear her name
Save her baby
Find the killer
But can she do it in time?
I wasn't sure I could love Angela's work much more - but then this arrived!!!! What a story....what a book....everyone should read this! I was hooked from the start, I fell for all of the characters and was desperate to know what happened with each of them....and the twist?!😱 I never saw that coming at all...wowsers!! I don't want to say too much more as I don't want to give away any spoilers but if you like reading books that hook you in, surprise and shock you and leave you wanting more - then this is for you 💕 Angela Clarke always writes so that you want more and this is no exception, can't wait to see what you come out with next @theangelaclarke 😍
This one was my first book of #opcleartbr and #readwhatyouown and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was a little worried that this was going to be a typical abduction story, however I was definitely wrong. I was hooked on this story as it’s easy to gain an emotional attachment to Anna as her character is written so well it’s impossible not to think of her as a real person. This book was at times hard to read as it made me quite emotional thinking about the events happening, and because this book was so well written it really highlighted the fear that parents go through when their child is missing. There were no points during the abduction where I felt like things were added in unnecessarily or were over-dramatised. I think sometimes it’s easy for authors to get carried away when writing crime books, but that definitely wasn’t the case with this one. There was the perfect amount of suspense and twists in this one! However, I did only give this one 4 stars because I was able to partly predict the ending. I wasn’t 100% sure that I was right with my prediction, it was just a thought that I might possibly know who had kidnapped Anna. Although I wasn’t 100% sure, it was enough to make me feel a little bit gutted that I might know who it was. Overall though I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it! 💜 #bookstagram#bookworm#booknerd#booklover#bookphotography#bibliophile#bookreview#afteranna

I found this book a little hard to get in to but as soon as I had time to sit down and focus on it properly I found it really easy to read. I love Eleanor as a character and enjoyed reading about her life. It was interesting to read as she has such a unique personality and you are constantly finding out new things about her. I also liked all of the other characters in this book and enjoyed reading about them as well. I feel like some times this book dragged on a little bit and that not everything was explained fully. I was, however, completely surprised by what happens at the end and what is revealed. I can’t say much more than that but it definitely came as a surprise to me. Having a twist at the end definitely made this book a bit more enjoyable as I was finding the last 50 pages a bit slow going. This book was very well written and it’s easy to picture Eleanor as being a real life person, which just made the story more enjoyable. I would recommend this book to people! 💜 #bookstagram#bookworm#booknerd#booklover#bibliophile#bookphotography#eleanoroliphantiscompletelyfine
