This has nothing to do with sexual chemistry or whether your characters are in a relationship or not. It applies to all people and characters. The stronger the bond you have with someone the better you'll work together. 🎭
Do you suffer from nerves before public speaking or being recorded on camera? Knocking knees, sweaty palms, dry mouth, quivering voice, foggy brain, rapid breathing?
Don’t worry, it’s common! It’s the fight or flight response that your body adopts when faced with a ‘threatening’ situation. Breathing is the key to gaining control over nerves.
Place your hands under your ribs and feel your body expand around the middle when you breathe in, breathe deeply. Avoid shallow breathing from the upper chest area, don’t let your shoulders rise up when you breathe in.
I find square breathing works well to calm things down. Try breathing in for 4 counts, hold for 4, breathe out for 4, hold for 4, like a square. This pattern regulates the breathing, don’t do it for too long, just for a few breaths and you should feel more able to perform.
