Show up for yourself. Imagine having a friend who made plans and ALWAYS cancelled. Who said they would do something and never did? Who said they were starting something, and never took the first step? They would quickly not be our friends anymore. But how often do we do that to ourselves?
We say we will work out, but we watch Friends instead. We say we will read a book a month but instead go to bed. Start a devotional in the morning, but press snooze? do our hair every day, but sleep too long. A face mask a week, but instead...well you get the idea. We need to start showing up...for OURSELVES. Self love means saying no to Friends re runs to go run. It's saying yes to a salad when you want chips. It's getting up, when you'd rather sleep in. Your body deserves it. Your soul deserves it. God created you with love, so love yourself by showing up. ❤️ #showup#girlwashyourface#workout#loveyourself#onestep
Friend, sometimes the things that we pursue take longer than expected, especially when we act with integrity. But the connection that we seek, the dreams of our hearts, the wellness that we desire, are worth the wait.
We may be tempted to take what seems like the shorter or easier path. But how we operate, and the process by which we achieve our goals, matters. When we live from a place where our hearts our whole and our choices align with our values, we tap into a deeper sense of fulfillment and we get to experience and uncover treasures along the way.
What is built internally through our journey is just as important as what we see externally, because our internal reality is the foundation for wellness and happiness. It’s not just about the destination or the goal, it’s about the process of how you get there. Integrity is more valuable than the short-term win, because it brings peace and the lasting fruit in our lives that matters most.
Take heart today. The choices you’re making to partner with what is right and what is lovely and what is true, even when they’re hard, are worth it. The fruit may not always come when or as you expect it, but it will carry the lasting fragrance of peace and fulfillment.
Last night l had an odd feeling in my stomach, one that was almost unfamiliar to me: Peace. Since April of 2017, I’ve felt overwhelmed at times by anxiety and sickness, that endless UGH feeling in the stomach that indicates nerves. Spending a year and a half looking over your shoulder, having a certain level of doubt creeping in your mind as to “what is next” medically speaking can be so daunting at times and hard on the psyche you rely on to keep you positive and pressing forward. I’ll never take my diagnoses for granted, those diagnoses have built me into a new, improved me. Finding inner peace and comfort within one’s self is simply huge. Enjoy your “peace” this Sunday and remember to take the first step and not look at the whole staircase!! #sundayvibes#positivity#innerpeace#innercalm#recovery#surgerylife#onestep

Happy Snowy Sunday from Chicago! ❄️ It’s Week 3, Day 7 (our last), of the rebooted program, with 4 new/additional workouts, that we did during the summer of 2017 = Shift Mobility! ✌🏼❤️😊 My body is sore from our previous workouts this week and it felt so good to stretch/do some active recovery. ☺️ Tomorrow we start another round of an 8-week lifting and HIIT (always with a side of of core) program that we did earlier this year! I’m looking forward to doing it again and appreciate that the workouts are only scheduled 4 days a week, giving us more flexibility on the other 3 to do yoga, for me to practice teaching PiYo, and/or whatever other active endeavors or rest we may choose. 💪🏼💙😅 How will you allow yourself to rest/recover and choose healthy today?
It's here, folks! ✨ Don’t forget that you can only experience At the Movies with us in person! We cannot stream these services online. SO, text a friend, meet them @BCSylvania, and we’ll see you at 10am! Popcorn cokes, and candy is ready for you!🤩 Who's excited?⠀
Pick up one piece of trash on your way to work, make up your mind to cycle instead of taking your car once a week, buy second hand or fix your jeans. Even if it only feels like a good intention, small actions will feed the intention so that it will grow capable of more. Make those small choices to increase your consciousness, and maybe even improve the environment and conserve it. This video may seem spaced out, but really we should appreciate the nature around us, and put a higher price on it.
@grimewforest Thank you for having me and for putting on such a great event.... last night the atmosphere was ruled with warmth, exchange, insight, laughter and togetherness 🙏🏽🔥🔊💙 The moral of the panel was “D-I-Y” another great British term, do it yourself but have fun whilst doing it as that will allow the form of authentic success, that’s how you create lanes. That’s how you connect with others and everybody wins. The initiation of growth.
Such a great discussion, it would be great to see this in every borough....As East London we created platforms for the scene but let us not forget the neighbouring regions. Could you imagine The North London one?Jme talking about the start of clothing brands within the industry to the next generation....cause lets be honest his the first man who thought “neck labels”👊🏽😂 Great job guys @grimewforest@chantellefiddy@jammerbbk@bruzaonline 🙏🏽🔥🙌🏽 Massive thank you to youth team who interviewed me and filmed on the night, lovely characters and lets not underestimate the industry standard equipment they were manoeuvring with 👀👌🏽 #eachoneteachone#gooddayguys#morning
I don’t run to race. I don’t race for my ego. I race to see how far I can push myself. To see what my mind and body are truly capable of. I run for the joy of moving and I run for my mental health. The times and medals are momentary, but the experience of happiness will last forever. That’s why I run. 💫 WBU? 🙏🏼 #mentalhealthiswealth#onestep
