I've always had this @yellowstonenps#oldfaithful token from its 75th anniversary in 1947. It's never been restored or refinished and being from 1947 I've always wondered about it rarity or value. If anyone has any idea or can point me to someone who would I'd appreciate it. #oldcoin
Old Faithful doing her thing 😍
And she’s been doing her thing for at least over 135 years. 🙌🏻 Fun facts thanks to our friends over at @scenicsafaris
How Often? Currently, approximately 20 times each day. Before the 1959 Hebgen Lake Earthquake, Old Faithful was erupting 21 times a day. But the earthquake lengthened interval time and subsequent earthquakes have had the same impact.
How Long? Old Faithful eruptions can last anywhere from 1.5 to 5 minutes.
How Much? The amount of water expelled depends on how long the eruptions last. On average, Old Faithful will expel anywhere between 3,700 and 8,400 gallons of water. To put that in perspective, the average American household uses 400 gallons of water per day. During a five minute eruption, Old Faithful will spew forth the equivalent of 3 weeks of water usage.
How High? On average, Old Faithful eruptions reach between 130 and 140 feet, although, it has measured over 180 feet high.
How Hot? Water at the vent has been measured as high as 203 degrees Fahrenheit. The steam at the geyser's vent has been measured significantly higher at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Not a cool out door photo but a piece of real life, meet my old clutch fork. This piece of metal has caused me a lot of anxiety and stress in the last few months. My truck was truely unhappy switching gears. After a new clutch and different transmission, this little monster still was knocking on my worry door. Thankful for the boys at @pinedaleautowrecking#princegeorgebc They never gave up and told me “old faithful”, my truck, was scrap. She runs again and gets another “check up” this coming week. If you need help from a determined business, theses guys don’t give up. #autowrecking#northernbc#oldfaithful#tacoma#oldtruck#shebroke
Back Friday! #TightBack? 😲 This is by far one of the most beastly and effective ways to stretch the #QuadratusLumborum (QL) in the lower back. This QL stretch can be held for anywhere between 10 seconds to 2 minutes per side. You will get a stretch in numerous places, but the goal here is to feel a stretch deep in the side of the low back.
Depending on the orientation of your hips and the position of your arms/legs, you may feel a stretch in these muscles as well: latismus dorsi, intercostal muscles between the ribs, external and internal obliques, tensor fascia latae/ileotibial band on the side of the hip/thigh, glutes, and peroneals on the side of the leg. .
Just about everyone can do this stretch to some degree. If you are very tight, don’t worry about getting as low as I do in the video. We have had hundreds of people, including myself, do this stretch with a disc injury and it definitely helps to relieve disc and sciatica symptoms. This QL stretch can also help to relieve joint (SI and Facet) and muscle pain in the low back. .
Like we always say, stretches are great and all, but to address the root cause of your pain and tightness, you must relearn your movement patterns. We will be talking about how to reduce your QL tightness in the next couple of weeks… LOTS of QL videos.▃▃▃▃▃

At the end of the day, it’s the tiniest things that count most. #oldfaithful
FRECKLES!!! Over the 20 years we’ve owned him, Grant & Freckles have been through a lot of adventures. One day when Freckles was about 3, Grant was riding him without a bridle and preparing to rope a cow in the small, round training arena... as Grant prepared to throw his loop the cow knocked open a panel and broke out of the round pen... sprinting into the wide open pasture. Freckles didn’t blink - he shot through the break in the pen (created by the cow) and galloped after the renegade bovine. The excitement continued over ditches, through electric fences and included some close calls with a barbwire fence. When young Freckles finally came to a stop, we think both horse and rider each had a few more gray hairs. Cowboy up!! Nowadays, not too many cows get away from Grant & Freckles. | These beautiful shots of Grant roping off of Freckles were taken by @chrisdouglasphoto | Diamond Cross Ranch | Jackson Hole, WY | www.DiamondCrossRanch.com
