“Water is the driving force of all nature” - Leonardo da Vinci.
During the recent trip to the Tirta Empul temple in Bali, our guests joined in the spirituality cleansing ceremony in the waters of this 1100 year old place of worship.
Picking a camping spot by putting your finger on a place on the map, then driving to your new destination to park up; finding a path through an infinite landscape. .
September was ending and autumn beginning, so the low reaching sunset cast a red shadow over everything within its grasp; dying brown hair auburn and bathing ferns in dying embers. .
Briskly walking back to shake off the stealth of night. Time to cook a stir fry.
#kulturarv#gotland

Okay. Back to writing that book. 🇵🇰 This was when I experienced zero gravity in the Pakistani mountains. 😉
Women and children inside a Wakhi home in Afghanistan’s Badakhshan Province near the borders with Tajikistan and Pakistan. I took this photo back during my first trip to Afghanistan in 2008. Now we are headed back there this March with some amazing and caring experts @adventuresoflilnicki and @letsbefriendsafghanistan to explore the north of the country for the Nowruz festival. March 16-27. Two spots remain— just reach out to learn how you can join us.
"You must be joking! I'm struggling to learn just one!" Is this what you thought?
If you go abroad just with your English knowledge, you might want to reconsider your approach. By learning I don't mean getting to the advanced or even intermediate level - basic everyday language would be quite enough. Reasons? Well, in some countries like Chile or Lithuania, you would have to search for ages to find someone who can speak English. But even if that's not the case, wouldn't you as a native in your country feel more respect to a foreigner who has made an effort to learn a few words? Then why not show the same kind of respect yourself and learn to say 'hello', 'please', 'thank you' and the like, right?
Another reason is that speaking several foreign languages develops your brain, boosts your creativity and helps fight dementia and Alzheimer (you don't have to believe my words, just Google it). Aren't those reasons enough to start learning one more foreign language? Check back for posts on how to balance between several foreign languages!
How many languages do you speak or are you learning?
I’ve been to the city of Budapest a good number of times; we would often go visit our friends who lived there. It’s always great to see the city from the eyes of a local, to stay out of the beaten path, to eat where the locals eat. I found Budapest to be extremely friendly and very affordable! Pictures here is the St. Stephen’s Basilica 🇭🇺

The famous Creme de Chantilly was as magical as imagined! While there are a lot of legends as to where this sweetened whipped cream originated, it definitely became popular in the Domaine de Chantilly, so we planned a #foodietrip to the historic mini-village on the grounds of the Chateau where they still make the cream the old fashioned way, painstakingly by hand. The rustic, homely barn manned by local grandmas was the perfect atmosphere to dig into this. So thick that it is normally served ice-cream style as a standalone dish, the sweet, vanilla-scented Creme was also a delicious counterpart to some homestyle pear tart
14. luukku: Santa Cecilia in Trasteveren kryptan katto. Nyt on muuten sellainen katto, että olisi voinut säästää vaikka jouluaatoksi, mutta koska aattona toivottavasti on vähemmän Instan selaajia, joten toivotetaan hyvää viikonloppua tällä uskomattomalla maanalaisella helmellä! Huom. Sain ankarat nuhteet nunnalta, sillä paikasta ei olisi saanut jostain syystä ottaa kuvia. Ehkä siksi paikka pysyy salaisuutena, olin siellä nytkin yksin 🤫
The crypt of Santa Cecilia in Trastevere is one of the most amazing place I've visited in long time. What a hidden treasure under a church! Rome keeps knocking me over time after time 😍😍😍
Be grateful ✌
Since my departure from Ireland is approaching, it's making me reflect on my time on the Emerald Isle and how much I've grown in such a short amount of time. It's made me realize how amazing the people I've met in this beautiful country are and how they've changed my life forever! ❤
It's made me realize just how lucky I am to even be here in the first place, just how lucky I am to travel so much and to live my dream! I am forever grateful to all the experiences, good or bad, and the people I've met that helped shape the woman I am today! 😘
Don't overlook the happy moments or wonderful people supporting you! Be grateful for the life you live as countless others would love to be in your shoes 😊
