😊😊😊😊😊 #sand#sexy#summer#bikini#beach#fashion#water#woman#leisure#ocean
Pretty little throwback from California this summer! I can't remember where this is but it's beautiful nonetheless!
One thing I want to do this year is print out all of the pictures from our trips, pictures of Bryce throughout his life, + family adventures, write the dates and places on them, and put them in a photo book. I know we're in a digital age, but there's something about having a physical copy of pictures that just makes me so happy, and brings me back to my childhood. 📷
The new year’s as queer as this lagoon is clear! 😆🦄 Amazon’s allowing “Break the Violent Fetters” e-book to be sold for FREE starting midnight until, 1/7!! Hope this book inspires you on your journeys! (Link in bio)
Excerpted from Chapter 11-
“It was through the beauty of nature & clarity of meditation that I came back to believing in a great union of connectedness between all beings. Emptying the egoic self in mindfulness even for a few seconds is the clearest I’ve ever felt. Meditation is like a prayer lit by the Universe sparking your mind into a blissful presence of being aware of consciousness and confounded by simultaneously forgetting that awareness. This is what a light year must feel like coursing 756,000 miles an hour through space. It's like where all the drugs, booze, or dancing is trying to bring us into. We booze the lover into our beds just to spill them out by morning. This is the pulse that the Universe is beating to, as if I’m thrusting my hips to a multidimensional rhythm. The enjoyment of living must be why we are here, or why else would humans keep coming?
For those who understand & live the wonder of our lives, it is our responsibility to shine a light on the paths of those who are still struggling- just as so many have lit our paths before us.
Birth is a beautifully painful event, & we don’t remember it. We are plants bursting through soil. That initial thrust into the earth must have been excruciating, but so deeply satisfying. If suffering was the true nature of life then why does Life continue to perpetuate? It is of profound detriment to all- for one not to tell their story before it is completed. To doubt that you do not have a specific work is a profound detriment to the entire Universe.
Through natural disasters & loss of entire species- Life still abounds in the most unlikely places. Have you ever heard of Earth?” .
Very sensibly the sun sets as the storm moves in. Leaving this fellah ta jog back to the bridge where he left his car.

The blue hole:
When we were kids we would come barrelin’ full tilt down the side of the dune and either dive, jump, run or simply fall into the blue hole. It was great fun!! I haven’t done it in years, but plan to hit it again this summer!! @codilloalice it starts where those people and their dogs are and is fairly circular, that sandbar is it’s outer limit and follow a similar arc to complete the circle. When I was a kid the elders would tell us that it was bottomless, so you can imagine being kids we would try and find the bottom every time we were there. We never did, I might take some snorkeling gear down and give it a proper go 🤙🏽🤙🏽 It’s pretty overcast, so will get a better picture when I’m down there on a clear day 👣👣

Logan’s beach whale nursery:
In the 1800’s more than 12,000 southern right whales were hunted and killed in Australasian waters. The species were almost hunted to extinction before becoming protected in 1935. They are listed as Critically Endangered (CR - Extremely high risk of extinction) in Victoria, and the population in Australian waters is estimated to be between 900 and 1,200 whales. A population of 10,000+ is required before their status can be brought down to Endangered (EN - High risk of extinction). The name Right whale came about because they were considered the ‘right’ whales to hunt. They are rich in oil, easy to hunt due to their slow movement, they also float when killed.
They grow upto 18 metres in length and can weight upto 100 tonnes. The females are slightly larger than the males.
There are two other right whale species, North Atlantic and North Pacific. They have a combined population of around 550 left in the world. These poor fellahs copped the full brunt of the whaling boom, when commercial whaling was at its height. The southern right whale population world wide is about 8,000.
In summer these beautiful mammals live in the sub-Antarctic and in winter they migrate to warmer waters around Africa, Australia and South America.
Almost every year between June and September a small number of females, come to calve in the shallow waters around Logan’s Beach, while the males, yearlings and young adults stay further out at sea, the females will come in very close to the shore. Unfortunately there was none here yesterday 10.10.18.
Hey, it’s October, get off my back :)

Hopkins river mouth at low tide, there is a fast moving channel varying in places from around 3 to 10 metres wide, sending fresh water out into the ocean. A very strong undertow at the opening and to either side of the river mouth, which should be avoided by all beach goers.

Cala Mariolu is one of the most precious beaches the eastern coast of the beautiful island of Sardinia has to offer.
The beach of Cala Mariolu is very suitable for scuba diving, and is one of the best snorkeling beaches of Sardinia.
Getting to Cala Mariolu involves walking a total distance of 6 kilometers while going 100 meters uphill, and approximately 600 meters downhill. Hiking to Cala Mariolu should take you about 3 hours. One can imagine the hike is not something to do for everybody, especially during the hot summer days of July and August!☀️ 🌊 🏖
